Automatic Tranny

So, She Who Must Be Obeyed has suggested that she MIGHT be tempted to come out riding with me if she doesn't have to mess with those gear-shift things, clutches and the like.

I truly and deeply fear some of the answers that might come up but has anyone heard of an automatic transmission option for a Sporty?

Cheers all

scooter and ridley motocycles are automatic.

ridley's are pricey though for effectly a 750cc.

Ridley : America's Automatic Motorcycle : Home

and I can't testify to their quality, I've heard good and bad.

Between 1975 & 1982 Moto Guzzi made 71 h.p. @6500 rpm automatic bike.
My father in-law lost a leg in an accident and wanted to keep riding. He sold his Harley and bought a auto Moto Guzzi. This was a very nice, well handling bike.

I was at my sisters house today for Christmas and she and her husband are both riding a Honda Silverwing. 600 CC automatic, built kind of like a scooter. They ride em on the freeways and have had them up to 75 MPH cruising. My sister the insurance girl swore that motorcycles were dangerous and now they both enjoy riding. It is there first motorcycles.

I didn't mean to say that they thought motorcycles were more dangerous than scooters. She and her husband who were both in insurance used to tell myself and my two brothers that motorcycles were dangerous. Sense then they have both changed their perspective on it and now both ride a Honda Silverwing.

depends on how the 600cc's are geared..... my first bike was a 600 cc bike.....hit over 155 with a passenger!!! course, wasn't a scooter either....but...cc isn't the total measurement.
