Co2 Emission Reading

Got my Stage 1 kits mounted and running and noticed a great improvement in performance although a bit more thirsty on gas.

Question is, and ignoring what is legally recommend from emisson control, what sort of reading should I be getting out of the gases from my exhaust if I hook up a co2 meter reading device analyzer.?

I am not really worried on what the legal levels should be but rather what type of reading should I be getting for upmost performance.

Thanks for any possible help.

Not sure about tuning based solely on CO2. Typically CO2 is just one component measured when analyzing post-combustion gases. The best way to tune using exhaust readings would be to use an exhaust sniffer and air/fuel meter. I don't know that reading the CO2 levels would do much for fine tuning.

I think reading the spark plugs would be the way to go.Don't try to get to
techical with these things a nice gray electrode after a good run is what I always looked and how it runs.usally a 45 slow jet and stock main mabe pick up the needle one that usally does it.

You should be more interested in the AFR or Air to Fuel Ratio,

If you want to play and tune yourself you can get a Wego III from Daytona Sensors LLC - WEGO III Wide-Band Air/Fuel Ratio Tuning Aids put an 02 sensor bung in the headers, with the caps so when you are not sampling they are out of the way,

It will give you a digital readout of the AFR which lets you know if you are running rich or lean or on the number you want.

If setup right you can run clean and make good power.
