Hey guys-
Thanks for the info on the V&H Pro Pipe HS. They sound and perfrom great. I recently was hit by a kid out on a sunday drive. He took a turn too fast and lost his rear end. Fortunately for him, I found it. Nevertheless, my bike is now at the local dealer having an estimate done. I was thinking of making a few cosmetic changes prior to the wreck and thought this was as good an opportunity as any. I want to replace the factory bars. I love the look of old school apes, but not sure that is what I want for long trips. On the other hand drag bars look uncomfortable as hell. I saw a fatboy at the dealership that had the pullback handlebars. It was a sweet look and may be the perfect compromise. Just wondered if anyone had any good or bad recommendations from experience with any of these bars. Also any reputable discounters/websites, let me know.

Handle bars are a personal thing, looks and feel,

I have drag bars on my softail 9 inch pull back carlini and they are very comfortable, my arms sit at a good position, I didn't like the stock bars they put my right hand to sleep.

Big wide bars are cool but can be a bit much when slow speed handling comes into play.

Sit on some bikes with different bars and get a feel for your hand and arm position.

Had the drag bars... ..long trips like a 1000 miles all nighter straight thru deals that we do was a bit much...the apes well they look cool but mindset of road trips with ape hangers(bar hopper bars) on a bagger?contradictory.... for me.but they do look cool!!! All I know is the apes and drags are far less comfortable on the long distances to me and those who ride with us at the pace of stop and go till yer there.These fellas are hardcore riders year round but tend to stop a little sooner and more often then some of us preferred to so they loosen up and take a pain pill(LOL) on our longer trips. The beach bars look like they spread your arms apart and catch more wind....too bad there is real way of testing them with buying them all.!!! To each their own!!!!
