I have a problem with my early 91fxr, it shift hard from 3rd to 4th gear. the clutch has been replaced, shifter pawl replaced, shifter forks are perfectly straight,there is absolutely no metal flakes in the tranny oil, the gears and shifter cam are smooth and clean, looks brand new, we have checked out everything in the repair manual and all checks are good.
it starts out fine but within 10 miles its starts shifting hard, then when shifting from 3 to 4 it goes to nuetral, then i clutch again and grind it into 4 or it skips and goes directly to 5th.
it is wierd and makes no sense to me at all.
