Question Flht check eng,, and batter light

Hello there, I was hoping some one might have a idea, I have a '06 H-D flht- the check engine and battery light are coming on. I have had the batter checked and it is fine. They come on after a mile or so. If I have my spot lights on, then turn them off, the lights go off for awhile. My voltage goes up and down. Does this sound like it's just the voltage regulator, or the stator? I really hate to take my bike to the dealer, It would cost more to have them hook the computer up to it, then just fixing it my self.

thank you

Sounds like a loose wire in the fairing or under the seat, have you had the fairing off ? if so you might have snag a wire bunch & not relized it , I have a 03 E glide have hit some things & had to pull it off again

I had a similar problem with my flood lights that are mounted on the highway bars. Turns out one of the ground wires got corrosion. A simple snip and a re-solder took care of the problem. No more flickering lights. I never did have the battery problem though. That sure sounds like a pos. and neg. wire trying to touch.
