I'm building a bike w/ a 100 cubic inch motor, any ideas on what plugs would work best?

By work best do you mean brand or type of plug?

Without knowing which engine type and brand it is the type of plug is pure guess work.

For every day riding, longevity and consitent operation a good platinum like Accel, NGK, Denso etc work very well. The Iridium plugs are one step up and work very well in high output engines.

For tuning I use Champions and quite often I'll leave the last set in there and run them. I never had a Champion plug fail on me even when drag racing. There are a few people that have told me that they have consistent problems with them.

Johnny, I've used NGK since I've had the bike ..01 FXDL. I've fouled up the plugs trying to find the right setting for the carb when I jetted it out. Never had a problem regardless of my fuel/air mixture. Now when experementing with fuel/air mixtures, I'll use a cheaper plug to see how I'm running, then put the NGK's back in with periodic checks to see how I'm runnin'. Carry an extra set with ya (or 2). Good luck with that 100 incher.

Thumbs up

Well have to go with CD, I have always run champion plugs and never had any problems; and I'm an W.F.O./Redline-guy. Just pull the plugs now and then, clean and inspect. Good luck.

I went with the champions; thanks for all the input. I'll let you know how they work out on start up day (shooting for March 25th)-
