I need help (and new Harley Dealer)

Ok.. well I just got back from my 3rd trip to the stealer to finish up my hydraulic cam chain upgrade... Well guess what.. I just found out that my screws are missing from the kit. Does anyone know the size of the harley part 940 (cap Screw) & 4740A (Hex head)

if you have the companion to the service manual, the parts manual, it may tell you in there........if not a phone call to a dealer.....any dealer parts dept. should get you an answer.......

I think it was around 900 IIRC that included adjustable pushrods and new lifters, with an 05 I wouldnt even consider gear drives I bet your crank isnt even in spec for gear drives it has to have less than .003 Todd

if you have an 06 or later big twin runout is an issue, hd isn't keeping runout in spec, probably to screw up gear drive sales.

FWIW if you don't put on alot of miles keep the stock setup you have, there are millions of miles on this system.

Just replace the tensioners and polish the chains on the outside to get rid of any burrs.

Unles you get wild on the cams stay the way it is, pocket the money and buy beer and lap dances... help a single mom make it through school...
