Evo transmission oil leak

Hi everyone, I have a question about the inner primary cover install. Replaced primary seal this past winter. Everything was good for a while no leaks. Now transmission started leaking, started as a few drops only when running, now leaks when bike sit's overnight on kickstand. My question is, is it nessary to loosen engine and trans hardware every time inner primary cover is reinstalled. Just did this alignment when I had it apart this winter. The bike is an 86 softail. Also had all seals replaced in trans 5k miles ago.

it is best to loosen all hardware. something could move and when you tighten it all back down, cracks and breakage can occur...yes, pia! be sure to torque all fastners.
