Old sportster "oil"

I HAVE AN OLD SPORTSTER----1982 25TH ANAVERSARY IRONHEAD SPORTY---- AND I LIVE IN THE DESERT..... LATELY ITS BEEN HITIN 105-117 DURING THE DAY AND I NEED TO CHANGE MY OIL

THE SPORTY MANUAL SAYS FOR ANYTHING 80*F AND ABOVE USE SAE 60 WT....................

IS THERE ANY1 OUT HERE THAT USE A DIFFERENT OIL WT IN THE DESERT ??? MABY LIKE A DIFFERENT BRAND "I USE HARLEYS STUFF"

IVE BEEN TOLD NOT TO USE MULTY WT CASUE AN IRONHEAD WILL BURN IT UP BIG TIME?!?!?!?!

I GUESS IM JUST LOOKING FOR OPINIONS

i dont live in the desert, but i do live in south east texas. temps are in the 100's and high 90's half of the year. i run 60wt in my 06 geezer glide. the brand i use is "bikers choice". it is a straight weight, non synthetic. much cheaper than the syns also.....

We plan to meet next week to talk about planning a strategy session to discuss the next step towards forming a consensus to start the development of the rough draft for the implementation of our intention to develop a plan.

Way back when 1971 I lived in the desert & had a sporty 68 model & I ran straight 50 wt year round with no trouble , but I did have a oil cooler with cover for the colder time of year , & i was younger & ran it pretty hard back then

oh ya, do have a cooler on mine also.........have always ran a cooler....
