OK, I have a chromed swing arm for my 05 883L. What do ya'll think about doing this myself. I have a manual and can follow directions and have the tools. Is this something better left to the shop's? They (HD) want $195 to switch it out.

its really not a huge job but it is pretty big if you have a bike jack or lift , tools ,directions , and patients i would do it. Just make sure you set the wheel straight when you put it back on and pump the brakes before you go back on the road for the first time its the stupid things i see people forget about

take your time & do it yourself nothing better than working on our own bike except riding it
