I have recently had a kickstand problem. MY ole Lady backed into my FXR a while back and to her luck all that was damaged was a bent kickstand. I bent it up straight and welded it in case it was cracked. I just could'nt see mickymouseing something as important as that so I orderd one from custom chrome and now it's bending over now. My old one worked just fine but I never did like the desighn of it. I ordered one from Harley but thay are on back order. Is it true that on the 86 fxrs that the desing of them are garbage is so got any ideas?

The CCI one is bending? Where?

The FXR uses a detent style where the weight of the bike 'locks' the swingarm in place. Unfortunately, the mechanism is part of the frame and can wear.
Ness and White Brothers Burly Brand make an expensive piece that bolts to the cleave block.
Santee has a stock replacement 15" unit http://www.customchrome.com/catalogs...archItem=95014

If your bike is lowered, consider the Ness or WB units. Both mount to cleave blocks so it is further back.
