Hey All,

Hope your all well. I am sad to say I will not be riding for sometime. I have a 5 1/2 inch cut in my belly to that was used to remove my appendix. Not sure when i will be cleared to ride again by the DOC.
Just as the weather turned good and hot, I almost died. Thanks to tons of Prayers and an inspired Doctors.
At least I got in my first Rolling Thunder in!
Please keep riding and be safe! I hope to be back by the summers end!
Maybe I should buy a sports car since I can't ride the Softail!

wmiconi,

Sorry to hear about your recent illness. My 17 year old nephew went through the same thing about 1 1/2 years ago. He developed a severe internal infection that also found him near death. He did recover rather quickley however once the doctors got him all patched up. I agree with Sleepy. Heal well then ride hard. Forget the sports car. Spend the money on more parts for the Softail.

Get well soon.

I think Homer Simpson said those things grow back....

I had my appendix rupture last summer on a Sunday. Problem was, I didn't get to the hospital until Thursday. They sliced me open and sent me home a week later with my belly packed with gauze (no stiches or staples). Went back in 3 days and the doc put a piece of tape across it and said it would "seal up" in a couple of days. To my surprise, it did. Couldn't do much of anything for about three weeks, but was back to my routine in about six weeks. Looking back, I didn't rush it, and it took about five months to feel 100%. Hope you get back on two wheels asap!!
