Bwaaa, ha, ha! Welcome to Texas in the summer, dude! One consolation, unlike Aridzona, it's a "wet" heat, er, is that a bad thing?

Remember, though, in January you'll be riding. Sleepy will have to use skies to get to work.

But, you'll acclimate, maybe. I've been working out in it, in the shade. But, around 4:30 it starts to get unbarable and I have to knock off.
Well, if your bike's going to be 8 weeks getting here, it'll start to cool of by the time we can maybe make a fall ride in the hills. Right now, it's survival out there. On the wing, I'll be wearing my summer jacket (it's cooler wearing it than being exposed to the hot air and sun) and I'll have a bottle of water in the bar bouy. I don't drink much of it, use it to dump on my jacket. LOL That summer I headed up to Sturgis to meet up with the gang up there, it was over 100 every day. From here to Waco, I'd have to stop every 50 miles and grab some water. I was on my old VX800, no bar bouy, and it was MISERABLE, like riding in a friggin' blast furnace. I took my helmet off, thought it'd be cooler. WRONG! That just let the hot air hit my face directly! CHRIST, that's no fun. About Oklahoma City on that trip I hit cool air, a little front. WOW, I did NOT wanna come back to Texas. Highs were in the low 80s, like a friggin' meat locker! LOL!
