Found this over at the OFOPOS board, thought it worthy of sharing.

It takes a minute to load, but its worth it…

Almost HAS to be Houston. That's the only place I know where drivers do stuff like that, well, outside of Mexico anyway. I'm figurin' it was a woman driver and she dropped her cell phone and was reaching for it.

Looks like the rider made out okay anyway, that's a relief.

The woman on the bike, Dawn , gives more details of what happened on this thread:
http://socalsportbikes.info/xmb/view....php?tid=34948

It's a good thing she had the camera, because the idiot in the civic was claiming that he had stopped and the bike hit him.

Makes me want to strap a vidcam to my bike too.

It's amazing how it's never their fault. I was coming home one night many years ago in my truck. It was pouring down rain and going up the bridge over the Brazos river my tires were spinning, how slick it was. Coming into a little town, Brazoria, Texas, I was running about 30 mph due to the conditions. It was a 40 mph zone and these idiots were stacked up behind me. There was a lady riding my bumper. I got to an intersection and a car pulls out from the left and swings out into my lane. To avoid a head on with this lady, I hit the brakes and headed for the ditch. The woman behind me was no more than 10 feet off my bumper, was irritating me at the time. She dodged to the left to avoid me and hit the lady pulling out head on, then bounced off my left rear bumper as I was already in the ditch.

When the lady in the car following me runs up she says, "Why did you stop so fast? You caused the accident!" I just shook my head at her and called her a blankin' idiot which she didn't seem to appreciate, but the cop that showed up only talked to me because she'd bounced off my bumper. I told him how it went down and he let me go on home.

I'm sure that stupid lady still blames ME for that accident. It couldn't possibly be her stupidity and inability to comprehend how to drive safely. It's everyone else's responsibility to avoid her on the road, I guess.
