CONFIRMED MISSION - Seaman Sean T. Barrera, 21, of Port Lavaca, TX.

Seaman Barrera died on Saturday, June 3, 2006. He was assigned to the USS Nimitz, which is stationed in San Diego, California.

The Patriot Guard has been requested by his family to attend the funeral of Sean T. Barrera. The funeral is scheduled at 1000 hours on June 12, 2006 at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church in Port Lavaca, TX. A Final Itinerary will be posted as soon as the staging plans are complete. Oscar "Penrod" Pena is the Ride Captain for this Mission. For more info please contact "Penrod" at opena@cableone.net.
This was posted at Two Wheeled Texans. Wondering if you're going to attend. My house is a mess, but I do have a sofa/bed couch if you need a lay over. At least it's in the air conditioning. If you are going, I'd like to attend the funeral if they allow guests with the Patriot Guard. Been thinking of joining, but I'm a little flat on cash right now for much travel.

I have work on Monday nite....doubt I will make it. Feel free to join the PGR. You are not obligated to make any of the rides. The ONLY obligation is that you "ride with respect" If you go to www.patriotguard.org and look under forums, then confirmed missions, you will find details (rally point/times/ect). They welcome all. you will only have to sign a release waiver (says that PGR isn't going to be responsible in even of "bad things" that could happen to you while on 2 wheels going to/from a mission. I was going to try making it if it occured over the weekend. Appriciate the offer, and I will let you know if my plans change and I am able to make the mission!
