so i have this young son, who is a college boy, majoring in computer design, and webmaster.
i have been discussing with him about keeping this site up!!!
how many hours a week, would it take to keep this site up and running???
my son is a full time student , who works full time for me as well.
donations, cought my sons eye, for i do not pay for his class's books and so forth........
i myself would be willing to donate my time of 10 to 15 hours a week for free.
after i gather the imformation needed, i will have my son join the forum, so you guys can ask questions........
what would be required of my son, to keep this thing alive??
a list of duties, would be nice
i will show him the posts and replys that come from this thread, so he may get a feel of what is required, and just what this forum means to a lot of us!!!

I get the feeling we have to do something soon.

Count me in as a donor. It doesn't sound too expensive if money is pooled
($10 initial and $15 monthly?)

THis post has been edited, After reading what I wrote previously, it kind of makes me look like a d...head, so, I cut a lot out.

TRG if your kid wants to run the site that's actually pretty cool. Hell, it'd be cool to get the t-shirt too.

my son wants to do it, and he has the attitude of go hard or go home!!!!
was trying to talk him into doing it, out of the kindness of his heart, but as my son told me, he's doent want to ripped people off like a get rich sceam, he just wants help with school.........no handouts. the kid has the ability to produce. the one really good quaility that my son has, is that he is very laid back, and is hard to rattle., he gives a 125% plus at everything he does.

he knows if he takes this, i will start looking for a project bike for him to put together, (hoping to find one in bad shape thats needs a lot of love) like mine!! soft smile my project is almost completed..

i think very highly of the people that belong to this site, it is the only forum i actually partisapate in, me being a little on the slow side, not one person in this forum has ever said a negative thing, to the stupid things i have done or said. instead you guys have overlooked my poor spelling and shortcomings, to help me solve problems at hand........there is know amount of thanks that can be ever said.....

i am staying on top this, cause i dont wont to see this fine site and the people that go with just fade away. it's our duty to make sure this does not happen, regarldess of who runs it!!!!!!

I can probably throw in when possable and do what I can to assist maybe use some marketing type gimic to fund the site, say a bike talk t or patch /pin for menmbers paying dues on an annual rate which could fund the site, a moderator of low pay, and the patch (shooting in the dark here)

What kind of cost is there in some motorcycle friends setting down and shooting the breeze. It can't be to much when you can go to a number of places and do it for free. I read most of the time and question when I have a problem. Why can't we just keep this simple?

Actually this has already been handled, and the forum will remain free to all. Alot had to take place behind the scenes but now its done and everyone can now concentrate on what really matters... talkin about bikes and riding.

Enjoy the ride!
