Ok Seahag, I hope this works.....Nope can't do it. The damn pics have to be the same size and I don't know how to work with photobucket. I had to resize the images so small they're just as bad. Unless you can tell me how to do it. Ok, I've been trying but it says I have an invalid file and I have followed photobuckets directions.....I give up.

So, what I did is some better....not great, but better...... (to get a slightly bigger picture, click on the pic....). What I did was choose my picture/pictures, right click, send to email recipiant, and changed the size to Large. I then email it to myself, download the picture into a folder that I know the location of, then upload the smaller one (done by email). I have something like 3mb per picture coming off the camera....by doing the right mouse click and email, it will be scaled down to 150kb (approx), then when you manage attatchments and add it, it will be a bit smaller...nice thing, when picture is clicked, it DOES increase in size some.......not as nice as the photos posted by seahag!!!

Photobucket is a piece of cake. Did you register for your FREE account yet? Once you've done that, you simply click on the "Browse" button and find the photo you want to upload from your computer. Everything I load up, I try to size between 800-1000 pixels wide as that is the largest most of us with standard sized monitors will be able to view without scrolling. Then when you see your pictures in your photobucket album they will be in thumbnail size with the links below them. For most forums, you just copy the bottom most IMG link and post it into the text body and the picture comes up....piece of cake

Ironhorse, no that's blue tape to protect my new wheel from the rotor scratching it during the mock up.

HOLY CRAP, it worked. Only now you guys get to see all the garbage floating around my shop.....LOL

Nice job VooDoo...Is that one of those newer model softails with the 200mm rear tire?...or did you go with something even bigger that required the use of the chain/sprocket?

It looks really nice whatever it is....must be a lot of money in those mods considering how much a custom wheel alone costs.

EDIT: Duh, I just looked at the pictures again and noticed its NOT a softail at all...I guess I was looking so closely at the wheel I missed the suspension.

good job voovoo.....i guess ya have been working on the bike!!

ya done good so far, but i am not crazy about the flat across the bottom of the lite panel. maybe put a curve in it? or maybe a double curve with a point in the middle....sort of like a V but with the upper part of the v curving tothe left and right. i would llike to see how your gonna hang the plate from the light panel....these are just my opinions/ suggestions....it's your bike, but ya asked!!! lol lol

Hey Chris....Congrats! ( from one fat ass to another) Looks like you are just about ready for a road test! Did you have to enlarge the holes some on the strut cover at the shock studs?

Reese, yes I did enlarge the holes in the strut covers for the shock studs, as well as enlarge all of the holes in the fender. I couldn't get the fender to move forward far enough to re-use the existing holes for the struts, it hit the frame for some reason. It's all working out though. Those pics are of my final mock up. I am ready for tail lights and paint. (still haven't tried to re-install my pipes, I'm afraid they won't fit!)

Chuck, I made that back piece out of cardboard as a template, and today cut out 16ga sheet metal to fill that area. I may have that metal plate laser cut with a skull type shape in it and light it from behind with LED's. That was a suggestion from another bike builder. I really don't know yet. I may trim it down so it doesn't hang so low. The plate bracket will bolt to it near the bottom, I still have to figure out something there as well. (I just re-read your post Chuck....Not a bad suggestion!)

Seahag, It's a Dyna wide glide, and the tire is a Metzler 240. I went with chain drive because my wifes cousin, who builds customs, said that if I ride like an idiot bangin gears, like I always do, I might break the belt, and I didn't want to rip the primary off again to replace the belt if needed. And yea, it has cost me alot of $$ so far. Let's see.....$3800+/- for the kit, wheels and tires, $800 for trans work, $560 for powder coating pieces and splitting my fender, and probably another $225 for paint and body supplies, not to mention miscellaneous tools that I have purchased to do the work. I'm sure that I have forgotten more stuff but hey, if I can't remember it then I can't sweat it, right?? AND, the most important part........The wife ain't said a word except for HOLY SH*T BABE, THAT LOOKS AWESOME! That was Sunday when I brought her out to the shop to see the final mock up. THAT made me happy!

Well boys, and girls where applicable, bring on the suggestions and comments, I can still use other suggestions on the tail lights/plate bracket.

I agree with chuck the flat dosen't work and i know ya ain't done as for your skull cut that is cool and how bout cutting in voodoo above or below. as for the blue I had a feeling it was tape as the lites were blue also I just thought the blue was awsome with the white. Looks like it's going well I'll wait for more pics

my opinion on the lic plate would be to put it on the left side along the swing arm,in nice and tight.. or attached to the axle bolt.....you only need a small lite on the plate, and an led strip would look killer from the rear, small and nearly hidden.
on the cardboard. what if it was leaned forward, sort of tucked under the fender and leaning out, but not past the end of the fender. it would leave a small pocket for lights.
or shorten it up a bit.
it seems that what is there would catch all the mud and dirt from the road.
another way to go would be to use the bendable strip lights...remove the cardboard, fab a channel around the underside of the fender on the rear. use three sets of strips....right side for turn, left for turn, top for brake. left,right,top would also be running lights??? this would let you see the size of the tire from the rear..... just me and jack thinkin....

yes lean out the rear plate and mount the plate else where as chuck suggested like the lower swing arm or this try frenching it in the rear plate at a tilt then some dot leds around it

when you did that did it affect the header to head clearences??? gasket fit ok??

I am doing a 240 rear tire kit. So far so good, although it's been like 3 months or so. Been going slow, I work alot and didn't have much time to dedicate to it, until now. Warm weathers comin and I want to ride!! Stay tuner for more updated pics as I progress. (However, I have had much fun in doing it, quite a learning experience)

Reese, like chuck said, did it mess with the "seating" of the header to head?? Now I'm worried....again. (what else is new?!)

Guys, what do you think of this idea. I'll have this shape (or similar) laser cut into the sheetmetal and light it from behind with LED's. ???? Then I'll mount the plate somewhere else.

My .02 cents worth...... Like the cut out idea......STILL need to soften up that strait edge look across the bottom...... Think of a skull.....I would bring up that bottom edge almost like the shape of the skull..... (round things off a bit on the 2 outside edges from the bottom up.....) not sure if you can understand what I am seeing in my mind....but..... I think if you started approx 1/2 way up in each side, scooped it in and down coming down towards the nose, you would create some nice "cheek bones"...... then it ends about where the jaw would come in. so, just a couple pics to "sorta give an idea...." forgive me as neither one really do it, but give the concept.....
