Damn TRG, I hope you're feeling better! I'm on vacation and have had very limited access to my internet and email. Get well soon. Don't know if there's anything I can do for you brother, but let me know if I can as I'd be happy to help. Just happy to hear no-one was seriously injured. (friggin idiot people!)

I rode down to Lincoln City on the Oregon Coast to our trailer on a lot we rented. Just wanted a nice ride and then enjoy the fireworks on the fourth. I had 7 idiots pull out in front of me and one very close and in order to avoid hitting the bi$#h who was on her cell phone I went clear across all lanes and up against the curb in the oncoming lane. I felt like I had a target posted on my chest. People are simply just stupid idiots and if they think I accepted their I'm sorry think again. The cell phone Blondie got a big as% chewing to where she was crying and then I laid into her again, enough is enough you know it. Sorry my as% just don't cut it when its your hide, how about a big foot in their as$.

This is good news!! While the driver of the cart wasn't very smart, apparently they are decent people. All of us make mistakes but she could have easily cost you your life. I'm glad it's working out for you.

TRG,

I've been away for a while so this is the 1st I've read of your accident. I was bashed up pretty good on a Sporty too a while back so I know just how you feel. Mine was totalled but I got on a buddies as soon as I was able. Glad to hear your not more seriously injured. I still feel the effects of my accident to this day, more than seven years later.

Hopefully the woman learned a lesson. People just don't pay attention, especially to bikes.

I'm not sure what you had for blinkers and such but I have some spare ones off my old Sporty if you want them. I may have few other things too if you would like me to check. I no longer have a Sporty so they are no use to me any more.

Good luck and heal well.

yess, i could use the blinkers, my list has schrank a lot, i am now down to a front master brake cylnder and lever, brake rod for back brakes going to the forward controls, and a new gas tank.
to be quiet honest, i have a truck that has been down for over 10 months, long drawn out story, basically i had a custom motor built for me, and blew the first week i had it, the builder would not stand behind it, so i am cought in in a batltle tring to recoop my 6 grand on that. so i took part of the money i recevied for the bike to put towards getting my truck back on the road. so i have just been making trips to harley shop, buying a few things at a time, maybe this weekend i will be able to get the brakes back up and working, then piglet will be ready to ride again!!!! minus the big ole ouch on the side of the tank....
hd thanks, you and the people on this forum have been out of this world, making this trulythe best forum anywhere bar none.

I just finished working on an old Suzuki for a friend so I finally have a little time. I will take a look tonight and see what else I might have for a Sporty. I'll try to snap a quick pic and post it for you. If they are the ones you want, I will ship them through my work. I would guess it will be under $10 to ship.

TRG,

Here are a couple of pics of the lights. I'm failry certain they came off the rear of my 97 Sporty. I did cut the wire a little close to the light housing but there should still be enough to splice it in. I took one assembled and the other one apart so you could see the wires.

[IMG][/IMG]

[IMG][/IMG]

I looked through the rest of my stuff. I have a couple stock but jetted carbs, three breadbasket air cleaner assemblies, a few stray mirrors, a stock set of mid and rear pegs, a set of highway pegs and that's about it. I also have a peanut tank from my old 89 Sporty but I doubt you want that.

As far as money goes, all I want is whatever the shipping is. All they're doing is taking up space waiting for someone to need em and your it. PM me your address and they're yours.

Peace
