| I have been out of touch for a while. A year or so ago, I purchased parts from a company called Direct Parts. I belonged to the forum which was linked to their site. I was curious as to what happened to "Direct Parts" because I have purchased parts at an excellent price and wanted to do so again. I noticed some of the guys from the "Direct Parts" forums were here now including Cyber Dave. Anyway.....just curious and if it's "none of my business" then thats ok too. There's great advice here and guys who seem like they really care. Thanks for all the hard work that goes into a project like this. |

| Cyber Dave retired and shut Direct Parts down late last year. Unfortunately, one of the best places to buy bike parts on the net no longer exists. Dave's doing great as I visited him in Tucson a couple of weeks ago (kicked back watching a little NASCAR) when I was riding from Colorado back to Las Vegas. He's very content with retirement..as is his wife. |

| Hi kwalker, this is actually still the same forum as what CD started under Direct Parts. As SK said CD closed Direct Parts and has gone fishing
There are some good deals still to be found across the net, you just need to look around. All depends what you are looking for, since one may have great prices on exhausts while another is better for seats or accessories. Best bet is to shop around and then when you find a good deal, ask someone here for their opinion on that store. There is a new forum category here called Vendor Feedback which will be a great place to share info on stores and products. |

| Thanks to all......Glad to hear this is the same forum just with a different look. Gonna be in the market for a new exhaust and everything that comes with it soon. Had an 04 Fatboy. Everything I ever bought for it was through Direct Parts. Gotta 07 Heritage now so the game begins over <grin>. I know just enough about engine service and repair to be dangerous so I rely on the expertise of the folks in this forum. You haven't been wrong yet.....thanks again. |

| I'm glad to hear Dave is doin' well. I'd worried that he might be sick or something the way retirement just came up on the board. I can certainly understand the desire to kick back. I'm a few years away from total retirement, myself, but at least I'm no longer punching a clock, just running my own business. I suppose in about 5 to 7 years, I'll be huntin', fishin', ridin' and tellin' customers to F off around here.
Wonder what happened to Dave's plans to move to Kanab? They gonna build up there? |
