| I was going to be a cop when I was a younger man, right out of high school. A friend of my girlfriend was already a rookie cop, and one day he told me about his first felony arrest. He'd seen something suspicious down in a creekbed - I don't recall exactly what - and decided to have a look. There he found a 28 year old man raping a 6 year old boy. He then related how he made the arrest and felt proud that he could get the creep of the streets. Outwardly I congratulated him, but what was going through my soul at the time is that there was no way I could ever take an evil scum like that alive. I knew I would never have the self-control, not when I've a fine pistol by my side.
So I joined the military where we didn't have to be so discriminating. Good guys live, bad guys get blasted (bad guys being anyone playing on the wrong team - some of them were far better men in their own ways, but that is a story for a different time). No regrets....well, maybe just one. I still wish I'd have been the one to come across that piece of crap all those years ago and blasted that scum to Hell. |

| If I came across something like that, God forbid, somebody is going to die. If it was one of my grandchildren, there wouldn't be enough left to sweep up. No child should have to go through that kind of torture. I'm sure it must stay with them the rest of their lives. Hell ain't hot enough!! |

I also exercise my rights as an American citizen and own weapons should just such an event take place. I would gladly spend my days in a cell KNOWING that I did the right thing. OH MAN, please, my blood is boiling already and we are just talking about it! I will stop here while I am still calm. |

| my biggest delima would be...short gun, 357 mag or 7mm rem mag rifle.....both have their pluses and minuses...... at the range I suspect being at, would probably go for the 357....7mm mag is GREAT, but longer range does it better...... now, if you give him a running start...... |

WAIT, I got it.......let's use ALL OF THEM!!!!!
Ok, back to the avatars.....Thank you Chuck for changing that to something I can at least look at without hesitation. |
