| Legend has it that a small bell attached to your motorcycle, close to the ground, catches the Evil Road Spirits. The Little Gremlins live on your motorcycle causing all kinds of mechanical problems. The cavity of the bell attracts these Evil Spirits, but the constant ringing drives them insane and they lose their grip and fall to the ground.
(Have you ever wondered where pot holes come from?)
A short version of the story I found. |

They tend to be realitively inexpensive, and hey....anything we can do to increase our odds out on the road, I won't turn down!!! Saw one guy that hung a bell from his trailer hitch....was a FULL SIZED COW BELL!!! Boy you could here HIM coming down the road....pipes....bell.....obnoxious!! |

| I dont mind the cops on my tail.
I just want them OUT OF MY WALLET
Why is it in some states we dont have to wear a helmet but in ALL states we have a mandatory seat belt law.
I'm not arguing that if one intends to drive aggressively he should protect himself with a helmet &/or a seat belt.. But making it MANDATORY & turning it into another source of revenue is a complete injustice & Socialisim in the making..
I wish there was someplace to go to lobby against this seat belt crap! |

| OK OK If you wanna argue that forcing tax paying, reasonable & prudent adults wear a seat belt or helmet for their own safety is valid..
..Then why not just outlaw motorcycles .....after all , they are inherently unsafe considering other drivers.....
Any body follow my reasoning or am I the only one that makes any sense.......
I'm tired of being taxed to the max. I have over ten years in Law Enforcement & have worked eough wrecks to be familier with high speed auto injuries.
smoking is unsafe yet they ( big brother) dont outlaw it . They Tax the sale of cig's
Drinking is unhealthy - - not outlawed -Taxed & regulated
Dont look now but we fixing to be taxed on our so-called carbon footprint

| Don't look now...the Germans are coming.... no really.... they have 45% income tax, 18% sales tax, gas costs approx 5$/gallon (course, they buy it by the liter for over a buck a liter), regualations on autos and bikes that would force 1/2 of the junk we see on the road off....oh, and most of our bikes would not make it either.....noise and emmissions.....they check both. There is a standard dB level for bikes (and sounds like even the American military is now falling under its influance)......something about dB at idle and/or specific RPM range...... and HD STOCK pipes are borderline on making it! |

In fact {sarcastically} while we'ere thinking about it...Its a wonder they (big brother) havent outlawed the evil Harley Davidson by now anyway....
Its 100 year old arcane technology...LOUD,....of no benefit to society...
Owning our beloved hogs doesnt feed the poor & doesnt educate the uneducated...Its a vicious, evil machine designed for hedonistic pleasure ( & increasing mechanical aptitude) LOL |
