My late grandfather was there and had told me the story several times. He was born in Hawaii and was in the Army Air Corp before it became the Air Force. Not many of them left any more. What a generation.

I just took care of a patient that joined the service 3 weeks before Pearl..... He was a Mortician.....according to the son, he knew more about the body then all the medics around him, so any doc that was close and needed to do surgery grabbed him as a second scrub doc.....even tho he was just a medic. I was told that he was part of the landing party for 3 different islands in the pacific..... Until he was in the auto accident, he was living at home alone, driving, and taking care of his sheep and goats.....sharp as a tack. Not sure how he is doing now, but hope well!

Yeah... Asked the kids in each class what happened on this day 66 years ago... Would you believe clearly half of them had no clue??? I cannot believe that... We talked a little about that day, but it was test day on sound waves and light waves... So far, just as I expected... As far as grades go...

As soon as I saw the date, I knew immediately....It also happens to be the day I almost cut my finger off with a japanese circular saw, in 1987. Sh*tty day regardless of the year in my book.....
