Happy New Year everyone!
Right now..just glad to be here in Denver alive. Drove from Glenwood Spgs to Denver yesterday thru as close to a blizzard as I've ever driven through. White out conditions with winds 50+ mph blowing snow sideways that you couldn't see the red lights of the vehicle 20-30' in front of you. Coming down from the tunnel (continental divide) we just got past Georgetown when they closed I70 behind us. The news said about 2500 people were stuck in Red Cross shelters last night. Having 3 people, 2 dogs and a cat in the Grand Cherokee wouldn't have been fun at a shelter..all rooms were booked everywhere else. Any way..gonna be really thankful for the New Year tonight with good bottle of champagne for toasting and a bottle of Patron Anejo to get toasted.
Hey Abby..what'd ya think of the storm? Welcome to Colorado!

To quote my hero Uncle Ted Nugent from Good friends and a bottle of Wine;
" Its true that life has its moments , sometimes up and sometimes down,
Identify your opponents and gather all your good friends around."
Ride safe and free in the new year

I hope everyone has a VERY happy new year...... My wife's birthday is today (new years eve) so we went to Enchanted Rock TPWD: Enchanted Rock State Natural Area for a day of hiking and fun...had pizza and beer at the Brewery in Fredricksburg...was great! TOMORROW I hope to go at least around the block on the bike to say that I rode 1 January......of the last 3 years! It is low on my priority, saw lots of bikes out in hill country today.....most riders looked bundled up a bit as it was in the 50's..... STILL nice riding weather here tho!!! Great rides to all of you in this new year!!!
