Hey guys I got a garmin quest 2 gps and i am kind of excited cant wait untill summer to try it out on the springer. Seems to work great in the vehicle.
Does any body have one of these and if so how well does it workout on the bike and what type of mount do you use. I don't really want to place anytype of big ugly handlebar mount on the bars, I have wild chubby drag bars and not wanting to put anything that i don't have too.

Hey Sparky, I have a Garmn that i used on my bike all last summer. I used the handlebar mount and it worked great. It is so much smaller than the Garmin that you dont even see it. Go to Garmin website and look under accessories. I think they want $20.00 for it. Putting it on the tank area was a pia. On the bars puts it in your field of vision and it didnt look bad at all.

Best of luck and keep the shiny side up

Sparky,
I just put the Quest on my ride. ('05 FLHRCI) Used the RAM lever mount. Works real nice. Some people I've heard use a suction cup mount on the speedo and with the GPS you don't need the speedo anyway. Don't forget a tether!!

Ha, ha, think I got it, I hate wiring, Murphys law always kicks in. It goes under gas tank girdle to seat to battery.

Thank you, was really looking forward to a long summer riding together (okay me on the back of his Electric Glide), instead of my Dyna. The wiring was very easy, it was those so called detachable sissy bars and touring pack that was a bite. The sissy bar on my Dyna WILL NOT be detachable.

runforever - My condolences, too. I hope your coming Dyna ride times bring you some comfort.
