Should be no guess needed....here is a hint tho....begins with I and ends in Q. Main Air Force hospital in the country, EVERYONE that is injured badly enough to need treatment/evacuation goes there.....

Only four months? And with advance notice? Dang, the USAF is pretty soft...

Sorry, had to dig at the Air Force - but tooooo long a story why, just think that they weren't there when they said they would be and my team needed 'em.

All that aside - you take care out there. A good friend of mine is there right now, probably the same facility you're talking about. She's doing fine, but likes having her M-4 handy. For a Navy Corpsman she can handle the weapons fine, too - Hippocrates be damned, he didn't have to deal with Islamofacists - they were a few hundred years later!

Yup....the AF is a bit more soft then some.....and I LIKE it that way...used to be Army...I laugh at most of those AF pukes whining and complaining...I know they have it GOOD. Can't blame you for your feelings if they let you down....either for real OR perceived.....and I can't control it and can't change the past, so there it is!

I plan on keeping my head down.....sounds like we have been there long enough that medical is moving into more fixed facilities.... that will make it a bit safer, but have heard that they still catch rockets and morters every day. I am just glad that I am not on vehicle convoy support..... I am going to the range for m16 and m9 training...not sure if I will really get to carry either one over there.....have to wait and see. Hope I get to....I was in Storm with the Army..... carried fully loaded m16 for 6 months....won't know how to act in hostile AOR without ammo and a pea shooter!

Thanks so much for putting your butt on the line so the rest of us can be safe and free. I only hope if your "vacation" becomes an extended one that we elect a commander and chief who will back your action. Be safe. AL
