| Naaa...I wouldn't give hints!!! I know a couple people wanted addresses, but couldn't remember exactly who, so this was easy!! My PRIMARY goal is coming back safe.....along with trying to help as many others come back as best as possible (I will be working in an Emergency Room...) I can tell everyone from past experiance.....if mailed surface, cookies will be hard and green before arrival. I just mailed a whole footlocker to myself...anticipate it arriving in about 2 weeks by priorty mail (packages need customs forms also!). Motorcycle rags would also be fun to look at while there! |

| I've been mailing priority, but I haven't heard from my soldier in a while. They have those flat rate boxes for priority; I think that's the best way to go.
I'll send stuff, but try to let me know you got it if you can. I'll feel better about sending more if I know you got it. |

Hope your soldier has time to let you know...have heard of cases that people have not been heard of for month or 2.....and the reply is "working".....classified material, and they are doing the job. I HOPE that I won't be in THAT type of position..... |

| Hey AFN, I ain't no good @ baking cookies, but some folks over in Iraq & Afghanistan have said they like to talk about what they're going to do to their bikes when they get home & have asked for things like bike magazines & J&P Cycles catalogs. I have some of those that I'd send if you think your people would enjoy them. |

| Take care AFnurse and be careful. I still remember when in Vietnam my mom sent me a box and in the box was a small white Christmas tree. We pulled it out unfolded the limbs and it made us all feel good that Christmas. She sent it three months in advance. |

| Hope nothing but the best and safe return for you. I am proud and worry of "all" over there and have had ones close to me affected drastically by this as well.I'm not in the service anymore myself but when I was I felt part of something from the people I was around and it kept us close and sane as possible. Thank you for all your efforts for mending those who need your help.
I wish you well and will try to send a little something myself to you.
later,
Voo1 |

| You take care of yourself over there AFN. I know those soldiers who come into your ER will be in good hands.
My bro-in-law's brother is able to email fairly regularly, though being Petraeus's XO probably allows him computer net-access regularly. Hope some how you can get online just to let us know you're alive and kickin'.
My best of thanks for your service. |

| Just jumped over to weather.com.... looks like temps this next week are a bit cooler.... I hope they hold until I get there! 10 Day Weather Forecast for Baghdad, Iraq - weather.com I was looking a couple weeks ago and highs were 105 and around that mark.....I am sure that by July/Aug temps will be in the 135-140 range. Something like that is just WRONG!!! |

| Man Afnurse Keep your head down and do take care of yourself. My brothers youngest son is somewhere by Baghdad on his 2nd tour and found out today that he just received a field promotion to E-6. I think he is just 24 or 25 and loves being in the Army. He comes back in December and said his unit then will be going to Afghanistan.
140F weather has got to be unbearable. I don't even remember Vietnam being that hot. I do remember the extreme humidity. |

| As they say here in the arid southwest.."Ah..it's just a dry heat".
I've been in 120º heat and it's just flat out miserable, and I had a pool to jump in. Can't fathom breaking 130º. Hope your ER's AC'd! |
