| Seems no states will be executing anyone for raping a child. On the face of it, it doesn't make sense to execute someone unless it's for murder..even if it's one of the sickest acts I can imagine.
So I say..convict em for life..tattoo "child rapist" on their forehead..then turn em lose in the general population of the prison. |

| Well they may have dropped the ball on that one but atleast they struck down the DC 32 year old handgun ban. Maybe this will start the ball rolling back in favor of the pro-gun side. |

| The Supreme Court ruled on the DC vs Heller case today.
"The second amendment guarantees an INDIVIDUAL right to keep and bear arms". The D.C. gun ban is unconstitutional.
A state requirement to keep a lock on a self defense weapon in your home negates that purpose and is unconstitutional as well. ( a small bit of relief for all of you in the "poor-misunderstood criminal protection" state of California - known in second amendment circles as "The Peoples Republic of Kalistan").
A good day for freedom and a bad day for criminals in the U.S.A. ! |

| Im kinda torn on this ruling...Whereas I understand WHY they dont want to impose the death penalty on these pedophiles (cause they fear offenders will be more inclined to kill thier victims) The same people who came up with this ruling are the same people that say the death penalty doesn't deter criminals...So isn't that kinda bassackwards ? I wouldn't want a law to harm an innocent kid, but by the same token, I want these guys to pay dearly for their crimes....Death is good....torture before hand would be better but I know thats a pipe dream....So I am still torn. |

| Thats right, Don't hide the sick F$#%@ERS in PC. Give them life sentences and turn them loose in Gen Pop. It won't take long for them to serve the sentence. |

The likelihood of the abused becoming abusers is also reasonably high. Don’t mistake me I do not by any stretch of the imagination support the harming of children. The two biggest cowards in the world to me are those men that pray on children and women, and the lowest form of filth are parents who abuse their own children. I would have no problem placing my G22 under the chin of such persons and only blinking to keep the splatter out of my eyes.
Those that say the death penalty does not deter crime obviously miss the fact that it surly stops it for that one particular individual. As much emotion as can be involved in such cases, abuse is not solved by more abuse/ridicule, simply tell them you will die for your active participation in said crime(s), then without delay carry out the execution. Eight to eighty, blind, cripple, or crazy; commit a capital offense you will pay for that offense with your own life, it will be broadcast on EVERY network. If a network does not wish to carry live footage of the execution they will have their broadcast license suspended for 72 hours; the day of the execution and two after so they and their advertisers may think about the loss of revenues. But now I too have moved into the realm of pipe dreams. |

| I respect your opinion, but in a Democracy you can't force a private company (TV Network) to broadcast something they don't want to. Not to worry, plenty of networks would jump on executions.
And that's total BULL about executions would cause pedophiles to kill more often. Killers are not concerned with the law. But a life sentence doesn't work if they know it means parole in 7 years. Most of the violent crime in the USA is by repeat offenders. We need slave labor camps, keep 'em locked up, and kill the murderers. |

| Your slave labor camps are still around, and are non discriminate of your crime, had the pleasure of volenteering my services in looseranna, and like lucifer said, those kinda people go to pc with the rest of there like, if they do make it on a yard it's not for long, or they become someones bitch. So I think a life like that would be better than death, and besides those ya-hoo's spend 20-30 years on death row playing the apeals and half the time get them knocked down to life because of some court error. and in looseranna when they say life that's what they mean, along with the hard labor, not no sittin in a cell 24-7 with a tv. |

| When it comes to televising executions..I've been saying for years that if a state had pay-per-view on their executions, they'd help their state budget out quite a bit. Not sure I'd pay to see it, but plenty would. |

I'm with ya man....but the death penalty means something different everywhere....Here in Illinois gacy sat on death row for 14 years.....14 years...If he had killed those boys in Texas, we'd have a lot less stupid paintings of clowns around right now. I dont know that abused kids are really better off dead though. Not all are scared for life, & not all become offenders. But I do agree the likelyhood is high. I dont think this one has any simple answer. Like some of the others have said, if this were my kid that had been abused, that vest they make those guys wear during transport would be put to the test without hesitation. |

| Anyone that thinks we live in a "free" country hasn't taken a close look at the current state of affairs with our government(s). I won't cross that bridge at this point though.
As far as that vest test Dutchman, just remember that vest don't cover the head or thighs. |
