Hope you all have been doing well. I just picked up two dirtbikes so my daughter and I can hit the trails. Ones is a 1974 Suzuki 125 2-stroke and the other is a 1980 Honda 185 4-stroke. They run and only need a few parts. A chain and sproket set and a throttle cable and we're off. Gonna be fun. Now I gotta find some good places to ride.

Whazup? Great to here from ya! Did you ever get yourself that XR650? Still got the Glide? I haven't heard from ya in a while. How's thing with the family?

I'm still in the income transition phaze down here, LOL! Still riding the same stuff. Got rid of the XL600 and traded my old 67 CT90 the other day for a lawn tractor I needed. I'm selling Chinese dirt bikes for kids and grown ups. They're pretty surprising in quality. I have this 150cc bike, looks just like a TTR125 Yamaha set up. I gave a little too much money for it, figure I won't make anything on it, so I figure I'll use it a while and sell it as used. Danged thing is well built, strong suspenion and chassis and great running little motor with a little more grunt than a TTR. I've been having fun with it, but the ditch where I ride is a might wet right now with all the rain, so I haven't done any dirt riding in a couple of weeks. I wanna get down there and set up a little track eventually, city property. I'm thinking it's far enough down by the bay off the road that the cops might not notice. Nobody lives down there.

Hey, been doing some flat track lately and bought an XR100 already modded a while back. It's got a Frank Nye motor (he's big on the west coast) Don't know if I ever told you about this one. You know about the other XR, the Bare Bones motor. This one's a stroker, 150cc, 24mm Keihin flat slide CR, megacycle cam, Nye down pipe, 16s front and rear with Lindeman revalved stock front forks and WP rear shock, running good cut rubber. This thing ROCKS. Fresh built and I gave 1500 for it, couldn't buy a stocker for much less! The series is paused for winter, but I was having great fun doing it, won a little money, can't say THAT with road racing! They pay cash for "mad dog" class (up to 150cc four strokes). I haven't got a win, ran third right behind the other two guys my last race. Just a matter of time and I'm going to win one. The goal is to win enough to pay for the bike. LOL!

Hey..great to see ya aboard Tazz. I think you'll like the folks here..no nonsense or attitudes. Like Goose says..hope the family's ok and you're doing alright. Still working out like crazy? I've been running like crazy..got my mile lap times down to 7:30 average for my 3.6 mile route..faster than I was two years ago. Gettin in shape to go ski with Ross next month.

Goose..flat-trakkin's my favorite racing. Love the way those guys get sideways with that left foot down. I know you'll adapt real easy and be winning in no time.

Yeah, Kevin, that's the fun part. You never have both wheels in line on a short track, always stepping out. The paint swapping and bar banging is great fun, too. Even got me a steel shoe made up for it. I've been running at the front near the leader, just need that little bit more to get a win. I did win one qualifying heat, passed a friend of mine who is an AMA pro road racer trying to make his mark. He's pretty good, won the AMA Horizon award this year for road racing, so I thought showing him around the dirt was an accomplishment. Got the drive on him off a corner and made the pass on the outside. I don't think I wanna try to stuff this kid going in. I just got lucky and he bobbled and my tire bit at the right time. BUT, I ran forth in the main and he ran second. I'm still working on my starts. Logan's killer on his starts.

We have another serious rider that I haven't beaten yet. Joe Prussiano. This guy is a real fast guy on asphalt, too. I have his number in mini road racing, but I've yet to get a wheel on him on dirt. That's the goal. I did finish right behind him last time matching his lap times. I was rather happy with that improvement. I don't want to challange Joe on an open class superbike, though. He rides the big stuff like he rides the little stuff, very agressive. He rides for a team in the WERA National endurance series. They pay him a hundred an hour for seat time. Sheesh, I'm happy just to get a ride now and then with a local team, LOL! There's been around 15 bikes showing for the Mad Dog class over at Waller, great stuff, decent money for the top five places. You more than pay for expenses anyway, ain't like you can make a career out of it. Both the flat track and road racing scenes in Texas are very strong. I feel fortunate to live here. Outside of California, and maybe the mid west for flat track, Texas is about the best place to be for the action. The competition is second to none. We've had a few world champions graduate from Texas racing, Schwantz, Spencer, Polen, Kocinski, Edwards.

undefinedThanks for the warm welcome guys. The family is doing real good. My folks moved into the house I built them from my garage and they are very comfy in their new home. Dad hit 81 and Mom is 80. Its great to have them so close. Wife and kids a thumbs up too.

I still have the Ultra and its reading about 48,000 on the odo and running strong and looking good. I have my Chopster in my old kitchen and putting the final touches on it this winter.

I have been throwing the weights around 5 days a week and I am growing a good but of lean mass. The back is strong and my stats are better now than they were 20 years ago. Bicep are 17.75" and the chest is 49" strong, thighs 27". Lotsa squats and stuff.

Goose you love going fast don't you. SK, ski you arse off dude, enjoy.

Good to see ya posting Tazz. As you can see..I still honor our ole friend Brad with my line on the bottom. What's it been..5 years now that Brad passed on? I'm not sure if CD remembers Brad..aka Rodehogger..from way back on the MO days.
