Hey everyone,

Long time no post I guess. I hope that everyone is doing fine. I am just as busy as all get out right now. Half work related other half wife related.

Woke up to 2 inches of snow yesterday. Then 23 degrees this morning. The weather people are calling for rain and snow mixed with temps around freezing tonight. This is not sounding anything like spring weather to me. I sure do hope that the rest of you guys are having better luck with getting some riding in. I actually uncovered mine on Saturday and set on her for a few. Her battery is still nice and warm in the basement. If all goes well this will be my last summer riding in Germany. I think that I have finally talked my wife into moving to the good old US of A. Look out Georgia here we come. I will start trying to sell my bike at the end of the riding season. Knowing Germany this could be July. hehehehe If there is one thing that I will never miss in Germany it is the weather.

Well guys drop a line or two to this post if you wish. Would love to hear something from you all.

Lee

It was beautiful last weekend here in North Alabama! I couldn't keep count of all the bikes that were on the road. It was truely a treat to get out early in February.

Last Saturday, I picked up the '05 Ultra that I ordered in September. Feeling a little guilty, before I left my house to pick it up, I went out to my shed (not heated) and fired up my '96 Classic. After a 2-second slow crank, it kicked in. I have a lot of great memories on that bike and kinda feel bad about selling it, but my choice is a wife and a Harley or 2 Harleys. Seeing as my wife is the one who said "If you want it, get it", she's a keeper!!
Boston is still playing the day thaw-night freeze game and the streets are so salty my blue Silverado looks sickly pale 2 days after the car wash. I decided to trailer my newest love home. I rode 20 feet from the dealer's ramp to the trailer. My itch is so deep, I have to eat glass to scratch it!!!
Those of us who live above the Mason-Dixon Line suffer the annual withdrawals, but sweet is the spring. My kids tell me that you don't have to be a doctor to have patien(ts). Someone oughta teach the groundhogs how to ride. They'd never go back in the hole. A safe ride'n season to all!!!!

05ULTRA,

You're not far from me. I'm 35 miles north of Boston. As you know, the weather has not been kind thus far with 28" of snow just a couple of weeks ago.

I'm in the process of building a garage and have to see my bike every day. I think it's laughing at me! I've been starting it every couple of weeks just because. My wif is a keeper too. I just bought a used Fatboy in October becasue it was a great deal. I was hemming and hawing over it for months. The price kept dropping lower and lower until the lovely mrs. said almost the exact same thing, "It's a good deal. If you want it buy it". I have a 1200 Sportster for sale but no one looks for a bike when they're shoveling F@$&ING SNOW!

I can't wait to get back on the road. It won't be for another several weeks I'm afraid.

Talk to you soon. Be safe!

****..it might be 60šs here in Las Vegas, but it's raining again. We've had almost our yearly total just since Jan.1. Oh well..still road to school 4 times this past week. Though I have to admit..snow didn't keep Ross and I from riding a few times in Colorado during June.

I feel for you northern folks..that's gotta be tough. Though..one thing I never experience is that first Spring ride after a big layoff..that's gotta be a nice feeling. Oh well..guess I just gotta suffer with mostly year-round riding.

Cool

Well, so much for the arival of spring.....we just had 5 inches of snow today, and I was just thinking about breaking the bike out of winter storage!! I just wound 20 pound backing and wf2wt Fly line on a new reel....I am READY for a motorcycle fishing trip!!! One last outing before leaving Germany. Have just returned from San Antonio where I found a house and now am just waiting for the movers to come move me!! Got a book that says there may be some fly fishing in Texas, tho not so much for trout and more for small/large mouth bass, and bluegill/sunfish. Can't wait. Anyone that knows of some nice day/weekend rides from the area of San Antonio, sing out!!! I'll be there in July, tho the bike won't get there until about Sept.....Can't win them all I guess!
