Did anyone see but me Jesse James on 60 minutes last night?
They were painting him as the bad boy of the motor cycle world.
They asked him about his bikes he said they are built to run 140mph and when 60 minutes asked him him about the differences in his builds and HD he commented and when asked which is better of course he said his,(no biggie) but when 60 minutes inquired about HDs and what he thought about them and the owners he said they HD owners were Dorks ever wonder if he has heard of "Sonny and the fellas". I figure I might be a "HD dork" but at I am not a punk-a#$# that files battery/ assult charges against a soon to be ex wife like he did used to understand some of his outlaw image but wow is it going to his head or what? Heck even the 60 minutes lady interviewing him is bigger than he is...image is everything but wow insult the same people with the same passion for riding?Hmmmmmm oh well just his opinion, but he does build 20 bikes a year for $150,000 and up per bike what the heck do I know! If I were sensitive I might get upset, fortunately I am vindictive and vengeful.. he thinks his old lady hit him hard?...let me catch him some where and he'll be building with a limp!!! anyone? ps- his builds are awesome and his does not to be humble on my account but "dorks"?
Oh well..any comments?

I didn't here the comment but if he ever met me I'm sure, in his eyes, I would be a dork. But that's cool.....I don't mind name calling. I'm sure he's had to do that his whole life to build up his own ego.

Regarding his soon-to-be ex-wife: I think her name is Janine? She's a pornstar. She's hot, but what kind of person would actually marry a pornstar? How could you ever kiss that mouth!

alot of of "dorks are out there buying his stuff and making him even cooler?
No biggie just kinda wonder where people come from when they say things like that. The industry that helped make/inspired you is now dorky? HD owners over the years have mainstreamed what he does for a living but oh well..looking forward to warmer riding and this dork will own HDs,...ps my 11 yr old thought it was funny he said,"hey dad jesse just called you a dork" and started laughing...I smiled and said yeah in a round about way..but do ya think he'd say it to me? without ten body guards?...oh well freedom of speech and all ya know.. even if he did, I just say ya know you sold a bike to Shaq...now that dork does not even ride!!!! oh well he laughed to the bank I guess money is money..anyone know of any good small events around Columbus Ohio, within I'd say 700 miles I could venture to on a weekend. Wetzel, and EZ rodeos are ok but the small town shut down the street stuff is more fun to me. I don't need three days like some tuff guy did to go 700 miles for an event..whoops there I go again.... he must have hit a nerve or something

didn't see the show on the TV, but I've heard that he's a little "selective" on who he builds a bike for. I have no interest in the stuff that he builds..I'm sure it's nice and all but just not my cup of tea. I like Dave Perowitz's stuff. Donny Smith's bike I liked as well. James is a talent, this is his day in the sun, let's see how it all plays out.

Well, I never gave a flyin' f*** what anyone thought of me and my rides, but if HD riders are "dorks" in his eyes, what does that make a Goldwing rider? I really don't think JJ is anything but a rich punk, personally, but he's entitled to his opinion and so am I. And, I wouldn't ride his crap if he gave it to me. I'm not into choppers and the burger king scene and the "hey, look at my rich spoiled a$$ on my JJ custom" beat the Jones' thing, and for the price of one of his customs I could have a whole shop full of bikes that would tickle my fancy, touring, cruising, sport, DP, and pure dirt, plus a new road racer thrown in. If dorks are people who don't have a six figure bank account and bow at JJ's feet, well, I'm a dork and ****ed proud of it!

I am with the rest of ya...I am a HD dork and also proud of it. I wasn't about the buy his stuff anyway....long before the "dork" comment. I just feel in this day and age....it is a shame who our "heroes" are and where we get our values. That includes JJ and the *******s from OCC.... but...just like said above...everyone has a right to an opinion and this is my .02.........

H-D riders are dorks? I guess that comment should make him pretty popular at Bike weeks. He's got a right to his opinion I suppose. I also have a right to not spend money on his West Coast Chopper Crap.

I'm getting ready to leave on a 10 day Florida ride that will end up at Daytona Bike Week. I wonder if JJ will be there.....it kinda makes me want to have a t-shirt made up "Harley-Davidson Dork" and see what he has to say.

The only reason JJ is famous is because he is the first custom chopper shop to be showcased on Discovery. Discovery has shown at least 20 other talented custom bike builders since then and most of them are more talented then JJ.
Who buys this $100,000.00 stuff and why don't I see any of them on the roads.

Can't see it because the trailer isn't see-through!

Agree 100%, if the only 'cool' bikes are built by WCC/OCC, I'll die a Harley 'dork'. Those guys will never get a nickel from me.

He sounds like the Hollywood crowd. Let's exile all of them to some remote island dedicated to nuclear testing.

Ride free

Ya, I saw that the other night, and it rubbed me the wrong way too. I mean, I dont talk to the T.V. much, but that comment had me cursing it. It's ironic how T.V. can make ya, and then break ya.

There is no question that JJ is a talented craftsman and builds some of the nicest show bikes in the world. I would never take that away from him. But if he ever saw the Harley riders I grew up around and ride with he wouldn't call even the dorkiest one a dork to his face without getting his head twisted off. The bottom line is there are many kinds of Harley riders just like there are many kinds of Chevy truck drivers. You can't simply lump them all together and say they're all dorks. That is plain ignorant. What do you expect from a showboat like him. All he's doing is causing controversy to drum up a little publicity, to get attention.

Anyway, I'd prefer a bike you can ride comfortably on all day over bumpy windy roads than a 140 mph bike that's ony good on the long desert straight aways anyday

Well, I just bought a home, 2100 sq ft, 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath, nice neighborhood, 2 stall garage, shed.....great home! for 120K..... this is in San Antonio....... now, you tell me who the DORK is.....someone that spends 120K on a home or someone that spends 120K or more on a bike they are afraid to ride, or is uncomfortable to ride for distance??!! I'll take my more affordable HD, make the changes I want to on it, and STILL have enuf left over for my house payment!!! I think he is a talented, overly rich, probably has some sort of historical problems with "short man's syndrom"...... He is the absolute LEAST of my problems!!!

So, you in the republic, yet? (Republic of Texas ) You've got to meet Grif. Maybe we can go ride the hill country and see the bluebonnets soon, depending on when you get here. I think I have Grif's e-m address here, somewhere.
