| i normally use oak or hickory or pecan or some mesquite to cook with.....i have a line on some black walnut. i understand that it is ok for beef or pork and terrible with poultry.......any of y'all ever use it and how were your results???? |

| those are all good ones chris...apple and cherry are great to smoke a salmon with!!!!!!!!!! pecan is great for beef and pork!!! |

Apple is ok, but not as much smoke..... hickory is great with hamburger!!! I'll have to try finding some pecan.....have not yet found that....everything else I have found in smaller bags at HEB for 2$ a bag..... |
