| I'm gonna chime in here, I'm just thinking that you got a few guys that didn't agree with your take on the choice of pipe for the bike. I'm not into making noise for noise's sake either. There have just been too many people being stupid about riding their bikes..putting drag pipes on 'em knocking the midrange out cause you just gotta have "that sound" .I'll put a pipe on the bike if it improves performance, I've had a T-Header..a bit on the loud side but worked well. My problem with it was that it was so noisy that I wound up short shifting the bike and basically not taking advantage of the power that the pipe pulled out of the motor.
There are lots of weekend warriors out there..I guess I'm probably one..never really gave it that much thought. It's not a lifestyle for me..got too much other stuff on the go. All I know is that I'm over 50..my hearing has taken a bit of a ****kicking from being in an industrial environment for 30 + years, My finance doesn't like a lot of noise and I'm pulling a trailer with the bike so I don't want a lot of racket being bounced back into her ears, I'm riding a touring bike with a radio so I'd like to listen to the tunes..so I'm running stock exhaust. The bike doesn't sound so good..but I can put some big days in the saddle and my ears aren't ringing..that just works better for me. I don't wear no patches..I just ride the bike. |

| SPORSTERBOY, Uummm, what are you talking about? I am having a hard time trying to figure out what your ranting about. No disrespect, but, maybe if you used a comma or a period, it would be easier to understand…

| WTF are you talking about? I am the only one that can boot you and I have not done it....yet. If you had a "log in" issue it was not being banned it was a log in issue. If you were banned it would tell you. |

| Also meaning no disrespect..............it may be a bit easier to read the posts if every word were not capitalized. I belong to some other message boards where people do the same thing. It does not allow the words to flow as they should or as they were intended. I'm not trying to offend, just offering a bit of advice.
As far as loud pipes go...............I currently have a V&H 2 into 1. It is loud enough for everyone to hear me and performs well. At the same time, you can keep it pretty quiet if you don't want to wake the neighbors.
My buddy has turned out drag pipes on his Softail and it is down right abnoxious. I can't even ride next to him it is so loud. I've ridden his bike and I must say that it does nothing for the performance either. |

You ARE right about that...it's usually not too smart to ride at 0100, so what else CAN you do 'cept throw back some cold ones?
