Good luck with that. He's gonna have to do a bit of wrenching if he finds anything with those names attached for that price.

Just a thought...with gas the way it is gotta figure going after it as well. A buddy of mine is an old VW fanatic. He just got a real good deal on a Super Beatle...but had to add almost 300.00 to the total to go bring it back. Good luck to him deals are still out there......

I've Seen Alot Of Good Deals On (that Site) But Never Did It, And Don't Know How. Plus All The Shiping Cost. Why Does It Seem Like Everything Is Out East?

LOL!

I am quite often looking for parts or projects of some kind and I have found exactly the opposite. When I'm looking, all the good deals seem to be out west or down south. Usually just far enough away that you wouldn't be willing to drive there. I find it nearly impossible to find anything I want here in the northeast for a fair price. When I do finally see something I am interested in, it's when I'm broke and can't afford it.

I'm not saying that a good deal can't be had but they seem to be becoming a lot more far and few between. The only thing I see in these parts for $2500 or less are old Hondas and such. Anything else seems goes for $4000 and up unless it's packaged in milk crates and coated with an inch of dust.

I rememer the days when you couldn't give away a basket case HD. Norton, Trumpet or BSA were a little better if you found their niche Today you can't touch one for less than 3 or 4 grand. Good luck on the search Sportsterboy

The only bike you can buy for $2500 is a PROJECT bike! Your buddy would best wait til he can cough up at least $4-5k for a good metric.
