| That we got the murdering b*&#tard is truly great news. But the situation seemed a bit....off to me. I watched all the footage and saw the pics....strange that he was the only one in the place that, after getting 2, 500 lbers dropped in his lap was in such good shape. From the look of the place they were direct hits...and they were having a hard time figuring out who else was there for sure, so I reckon those bodies were a bit worse for wear. If I had a conspiracy/cover up sort of mindset, I might think that he was snatched earlier, interviewed and then placed at the scene post attack...see what watching too much TV does for you? I gotta lay off going to sleep with CSI on.

Yeah, that father is a bit too pacifistic to me. There's a biological need for survival and that includes getting pissed off enough to get rid of idiot's in this world (Hitler comes to mind).
I believe in restraint and common decency, but, these are madmen taking us back thousand's of years to neanderthal ways of thinking. Religion has nothing to do with it. Just a front (my opinion). |

| While I respect a fathers way of dealing with the loss of his son, and everyone has a right to feel the way they feel, I find it strange that so many feel that anger and revenge are the only motivation for taking a life. The true beneficial purpose of forgiveness is to cleanse yourself of a poison. Hate and anger will, it has been proven, cause all sorts of physical maladies. And except for those that have to have a healthy dose of what Grandpa called "Dutch courage" before they can stand up for anything, taking action is not about anger, and agression. Many refer to such as "cold blooded" I call it professionalism. Use what force needs to be used to neutralize a threat. Sometimes it takes deanimation to neutralize that threat. But the amount of force needed is ALWAYS dependent on the actions of the threat themselves. This mad dog was just that, a mad dog. If a dog shows up in my yard throthing at the mouth, I am not angry with the dog. I don't hate it....but it isn't leaving the yard except in a bag either. And because I love dogs, there might be a tear or two as I bag it....but what has to be done will get done. When a person insists on following a road such as these extremists follow they are just like a rabid dog. Don't hate them, don't fear them. Hell pray for them if you feel the need.....but don't let 'em leave the yard.
As to CNN and the rest of the bleeding hearts.....I hear so many people say things that makes me wanna ask "Did your parents have any kids that weren't born brain dead?"

I guess it's really hard for some people to see clearly through so much grief. Not sure how I would feel, hope to God I never find out |

| GreyBear,
As usual, I agree one hundred percent with what you wrote...well put.
As for blaming the president for the deaths of the children?
Were they helpless minors thrown into a Gallipoli type event where it was "do or die"
Or were they volunteers (the service men, specifically the Sheehan boy), and professionals to the end? They should be honored, silently and respectfully, and be allowed to bear the dignity their sacrifice demands. We owe them this much, and death to those that dishonor them...parents included.
Sorry, rant mode off.

I remember growing up around all them WWII vets. You could tell the ones who really saw some sh$$ 'cuz they were the ones that never talked about it.
My dad was pissed when I signed up, all along I thought it was what he would have wanted. He never told me how much it sucked. Anyway it was a way out of factory town. Never went back. |

scoot | No, sorry to imply that Scooter.... I did 8 years and finally had enough, but that was long ago. 'Think I went off track on that post.
I have the utmost respect for these kids serving now (men and women). They are better trained and able to kick some serious ass.
When I was in, there was a lot of drugs and a lot of drinking. They've cleaned that up quite a bit, Thank God. |
