| Why, Chuck?
Because not enough of us are standing up and saying, "Hey, that's enough now", to our politicians. And I mean being a real PEST about it, too.
Maybe we should start taking down streetsigns in other languages and boycott businesses that advertise bilingual? I already threatened to cancel insurance if I get sent any more paperwork that is bilingual.
As far as driving courses go, Grey Bear, I think they oughta REQUIRE Beginner Driver courses and Experienced Driver Courses, just like for bikers. MAYBE it would save a life or two, and maybe that life or two saved could be one of ours....

| Kids in this state have to go through drivers safety training! Not that it helps but at least they get a little training before being set lose on us. And I have seen a lot of new riders that should not be on the road with the latest Mega horse power scooter! A little training is not a bad thing. Around here if you see a rider that is haveing a real problem rideing around the parking lot more or less in traffic at 50mph.You can bet that rookie has no licence on msf training but he had 30k in the bank. As I have heard out here in the desert 30k and 30miles you still aint no rider! I though, would like see more training for cage drivers in the area of motorcycle awareness! We are becomeing a larger percentage on the road and with gas the way it is,it is going to larger! Vespa to Harley's the whole word is going to be looking for ways to cut the cost of driveing and the problem of cages will only get worse. We lose one or two riders a week to cages that never saw the bike. Ride well! Stay safe Mike |

| True we see more bikes on the road here in FL than ever and accidents are up, but that's related to more bikes, and a lot more cars on the road than ever in history.
Of course the paper pundits blame the helmet laws but the facts don't bear that out.
I would be for required testing to get a license, you could get a permit from a test to buy a bike but that would have to be converted to an endorsement after taking a safety course,
Would like to see a requirement to take an advanced course every so many years. Same for cars.
heck in FL we should have a height test for cars, if you can't see or be seen from the front or back of your Roadmaster you need to give up the license! |

Alot borrow someone's itty bitty enduro just to pass and then go get on the prize Hog and waddle out of the lot.... Have had mine and did it on a HD everytime(moved in the service a few times) ....only missed one point one time in the last 3 decades of riding. yup pattin' myself on the back for that one... |

It should also be taken on a bike that you are going to ride. After the first year then an ERC course should be required that it be taken.
I see so many riders out there riding a big bike that have no clue what the left and right push is all about. I have talked to some explaining it and have them later on tell me thanks cause it worked so well.
I saw a women on the freeway this morning in rush hour traffic putting her eye makeup on. Crap, she had the sun shade down and looking into the mirror with a long eye brow pencil in her hand stroking her eye brows. Not only was she not paying attention to what was going on around her surroundings but she couldn't see in front of her in case a car in front stopped suddenly. Honked my horn at her and told her to pay attention and yep she showed me a bird. |

| Been riding for 15 years no licence, just got one 2 years ago. I was tired of getting pulled over with my pipes and then loosing the bike for 30 day's at $10 a day my cost for storage at the impound and on top of that $500 ticket for no licence, $200 for straight pipes $100 for elegal plate and finally $100 for elegal flashers and then the dick tells me to have a nice day...........so boy's if you ever ride into Montreal, Quebec Canada bring your wallets, its the only place in the world that have pipe laws.........
