| Harley has done well in their 07 line up, some real nice upgrades. Anyone with a common mechanical sense, or the money to pay someone, or a shop can build a 95BB that can beat any ‘07’ out there… so I'll just keep what I have and be happy.

| Yep but it will take a lot of money to do it vs just dropping in a set of cams on a 96
Lets say the tuning and pipes are even trades on both, now a stock motor will only need cams.
so a 95 to 95 non headwork, stage 1 and cams should run pretty darn even.
Now you spend your money on pistons, cyl, head work, cams, for your hot 95, I'll take my same money on a new 96 and have a 103,
Lets say we both get it tuned, which motor has the ability to make more power
the hot 103 or hot 95 for the same money.
Sorry the 95 inch boys days are numbered. Yeah they will still run good, but a 103 with heads, cams and the works will pull in the low 100 teens to 120ish easy.
There is no substitute for cubic inch displacement. Mod for mod the bigger motors going to outperform. |

With all of the changes to the oiling, cam tensioners, bearings etc, etc, etc.....it is pretty much a new animule |

| The ‘07’s got it going on, no doubt about it.
And every ol’ hot-rodder knows that “there is no replacement for displacement”.
So.
The financially challenged folks, like myself, will be happy with the hot 95, or an Axtell 97 . I will depend on my riding skills over the big-dollar-yehaw that doesn’t-have-a-clue.
I’ve seen a few high dollar guys get eaten-up by 80inch Evo’s
Sorry,,, I had a moment…
My two cents. |

| Guy I work with, er, that works for me....just bought an 07 RK Classic. First one in the Houston area, the dealer thinks he might be first to have gotten one in the great state. At any rate, he's in love...as well he should be. He got the metallic cherry? brandywine? two-tone color scheme. Tried to see what it looks like on the HD site, but couldn't pull up the colors for some reason. Good lookin' bike, though.
He said it runs like he thought they (HD's) should all along. He traded in a Yam Starliner (06) on it, and still came out 12 dollars a month cheaper.
Yeah, I'm jealous...but that's okay. I just wish I'd called the dealer and said I was sending him in, since I gave him the idea and desire to get one. That bird dog fee woulda got me some nice chrome!!!
