| All come with a 96 inch motor, the 88 and 95 upgrade are gone, you can upgrade to a 103 with pistons and cylinders!
Also all big twins have 6 speed transmissions and EFI
Sporsters will be EFI and there is a 50th Anniv Sporty Edition two new V-rods and the Softail Custom is back with a 200 MM rear tire.
Let the mayhem begin
06's on sale cheap!
07's bend over and wait in line!
Going to be a ton of used bikes for sale! |

| I wasn't envious when the 95 upgrade kits came out, and I've never looked at other folks bikes and wished I had theirs (except when I was rideless), but now I have to admit I wish I had one of these new HDs. Darn sweet....... |

| Maybe they're tryin' to pass of the larger engine size earlier to offset any loss of power from EPA crap??
Don't know, (OBVIOUSLY ), but the timing sure seems to be suspect.
Anyone have any ideas on that one? EPA crap having an effect already?
Does anyone know if any of the supergroups out there (AMA,MRF, et al)
have researched into the ability (LEGAL) of the EPA to conduct their business and enact laws and enforce them and such? I thought that congress had to give that sort of authority away.
I also, from what I have been reading, thought that the negotiations with the EPA were going well. What is the status on that? Anyone, anyone?
Sorry for hijacking the thread...

| yeah it's got a wicked look to it.
EPA can do the rules, congress sets how they can enforce,
it's a done deal but there are negotiations going on about some things. |

| Hopefully the same thing will happen to the EPA legislation as happens to all the good stuff we want to see happen.....ya know? A thousand riders will get attached and it'll be so watered down they won't even recognize it in the end.
I can be optimistic, right??? |

| Are you referring to the EPA rules that went into effect 1 January 2006? If so, it's been a done deal since middle of last year. The EPA had their hearings, input etc and finalized the new rules and created the implementation schedule. 2006 is the first year and 2010 is the last year for the implementing the last step of the new EPA rules.
Part of the new rules includes funding for enforcement and, puts more teeth into the ability to force the states to comply. Congress approved the rules and the President hacked off on it so unless something changes, what you see is what we get. |

| I didn't realize how much time I've lost. I feel like I've been in a time warp or something since the begining of last year with all the deployments and response our unit has been involved in.
Didn't know it was a done deal, guess I have myself to blame for not diving into it and getting ALL the facts before I started posting...sorry about the uninformed posts, CD, try not to let it happen again.
On a lighter note...what year IS this, anyway???

scoot | Scoot,
Twenty lashes by the blonde on the itty bitty bikini should do. Oh, yeah, forgot to mention that you're tied to a post with a four foot rope and she stands 4 1/2' away. Now, that's the punishment. |

| Anyone know what they did other than increase the displacement? What lurks in the new bottom end...if anything? On top of dealing with the EPA stuff don't ya think a lot of the bigger motors has to do with keeping up with the market? Most of the Harley clones are big displacement........plus HD is being like the Jap bikes change often and make parts obsolete.....well by the time I have the 06 paid off they will have gotten the bugs worked out lol.
