| If You Haven't Heard Me Say It Before Washington State Has The Highest Mini Wage In The Country. Now They Are Trying To Pass A New Bill For People That Work In The Major Retail Industry, Like Wal-mart. Any Way (they)? Want To Raise It To 10.30 Hr. Insane Some Of You Say But, It's Already Like Around 8.00. For Those Who Are Thinking The Cost Of Living? It's Fairly Cheap About The Same For Those Of You In The Houston Area, Less Than Tucson. |

| Trg, Really The Winter Isn't What I Expected, We Get A Little Snow, Last Year We Only Had 2 Good Snow Falls. Which Adds Up To Snow Staying On The Ground For About A Month. There Are Some Who Ride Around Town All Year At Least When There Isn't Snow Or Ice On The Road. I've Been Here 2 Years And Never Had Snow Or Studded Tires. If The Law Passes I Just Might Have To Quit My Welding Job And Work At Wally World. I Could Walk From My House And Figure I Would Break About Even From The Gas I'm Spending...lol 9$ To Fill The Stock Sporty Tank. 5 Years Ago It Was 3$ |

| Raised minumum wage = less raises for the workers that actually get the job done, and less workers hired to learn how to get the job done. Just a lame, feel-good political move to convince the stupid & lazy to vote for the politicians behind it. |

| Well, I really think it all goes a lot deeper than minimum wage vs lazy workers. Lets face it if working harder was the key to sucess...all ditch diggers would be Billionaires. The minimum wage issue is like a lot of others it really does have two ( and maybe more) sides. Lot's of places now only hire people as part time permanent they give you less than 32 hrs and don't have to pay a lot of the benefits they would with fulltime workers. So those folks have to deal with a lot of issues full time workers don't. As to poor worker attitude... a lot of that comes from poor corporate attitude, as in screw your employees as much as possible. "Downsizing", cut backs so jobs can go overseas, forcing older employees into early retirement etc makes for **** poor employee loyalty. Add to that that most "managment" has about as much idea of how to manage anything as the stuffed shirt professor in Rodney Dangerfields "Back to School". It is a complex issue, to say the least.
