Might have noticed a few posts from me in the last two weeks...more than most newbs on here might throw out. Why? Been sick as a dog, with ear infections that make me feel like I'm back at sea in a frickin' typhoon. My balance is all hosed up, keep knockin' over stuff - not real good riding shape. On the antibiotic and Vicodin (for the ear pain) diet. Just wanted to pass that info along so ya'd know I'm not some shut-in computer geek who never really puts his a$$ in the saddle.

On the upside now, so I expect to be putting a couple grand on the hog with a trip to WA (Whidbey Island) in a couple weeks. Keep the highways warm for me!

Good luck in feeling better soon! Down here in Texas, keeping the highway warmed up is NO problem.....will be plenty warm even if not a single car, truck, or motorcycle has seen it in weeks!!! When you DO get back in the saddle, have a great ride!

Cool

AFNurse - thanks. HWY's are doin' good here today too, as it is 100 degrees. But here it really is a dry heat - 9% humidity. A damp cloth on the neck and Life is good! Time to soak up the sun....while pumping them fluids to get rid of this bug....

Hey there Red Rder, sorry to hear of your illnesses. With time everything will pass. (I hope). I have recently been told my blood count is AFU and that I have anemia, well hell, I guess the older you get the more your likely to be ill. Anyway, I was stationed out at Whidbey Island with VQ-1, it is simply beautiful out there, (when its not raining), I really enjoyed riding out there. Enjoy your visit.

Thumbs up

Killer-B - Going up there to see a shipmate who's retiring out of VQ-1. Visited him a couple years ago and had nothing but blue skys and warm weather. You're right, when its not raining it is beautiful. Hoping for more of the same, as I don't live in Nevada so I can slog my way through rain every day!

OK, no more whining - I'm back in the saddle. Had to pick the $$ maker up from her job, so took Ol' Red out and got her on the back. First time in two weeks that I've felt good enough balance-wise. Dang earaches - hadn't had any since I was a wee lad till this bug got me. It was great, even though a yellowjacket wasp stung the crap out of my leg. He's dead now, so I feel great! See ya on the HWYs!
