| Ever notice how Tony Stewart is treated like a saint by the announcers? I think Wally needs wipies after yesterday's Pocono race.
Stewarts pat answer "Give and Take"? Uh, news flash Tony, the 07 had a half a car on you and gave you plenty of room. You just can't stand someone passing you like you are standing still.
No wonder Awesome Bill had "no comment" about Tony's antics a few years ago. |

| Well,,, believe it or not, I still pull for Petty, I mean you can always hope, right.
There are a few dudes I like to see win, but it has become so commercial. Not really all that enjoyable anymore. I’ll still watch it, but I wont make plans for it. |

| Everything has become so **** commercialized lately, it's not even funny anymore.
I'm surprised they don't refer to the "Viagra #88 car coming up alongside the Home Depot #20 Car making a go of it on the Scotts Tru-Green Straightaway here at the Budweiser King-of-Beers speedway formerly known as Talladega."
Sheesh..... |

| Love some NASCAR and Awesome Bill the most. It ain't been the same with out him there every week. Tony's a two time champ, they'll never stop gushing over him. He's an arrogant "Richard" head as far as I'm concerned. |

At least Stewart apologized and took full responsibility for his actions and taking full blame for what happened. |

| Well,
I didn't actually see him say all that, but at least he's taking a BIG step in the right direction. Seems like there needs to be a few more in the ranks that should step up and do the same, yanno? |

| Well, I was still tired from that ride I did last Thursday from Phoenix to Portland and missed the race Sunday. Who won?
Me I have always been a Mark Martin fan. I do wish he would get a little more aggressive at times but hey, he is usually pretty consistent and he is just an all around great guy.
Got to meet Dale Jarrett at a Mac Tool Convention in Florida one time. Just my opinion but didn't like him and his attitude and have not liked him sense.
Some of the newer younger drivers coming up are going to be where its at.
You can keep the Bushes and that smart As$ kid that drives Dale E. old car.
As for Tony, well he sure does keep it interesting and he has cooled his temper a bit in the last couple of years, somewhat. |

| Give Dannika Patrick a couple of years to become the first woman to win the Indianapolis 500, then she can move over to NASCAR and kick some good ole boy butt. |

While Danika is very good, the talent in NASCAR is amongst the best in the world. Juan Pablo found it amazing that Gordon could run a 3500 lb car that hard in corners without looping it. Danika will make her mark for sure...How large a mark depends on her.
Tony Stewart has a certain pattern down pat.
1. Extract immediate vengeance for perceived wrongs on the track.
2. Act like a petulant, pompous ass in the after race interview, laying the blame on everyone but himself.
>>>>Joe Gibbs talks to Tony<<<<<
3. Tony in a mock contrite manner apologizes and takes full responsibility.
Tony is a talented driver with one of the best organized and talented teams. If Tony ever looses that ride, he may not be the force he is.
NASCAR has placed themselves in a ticklish position. Not all venues are not selling out and ticket prices have been adjusted. Owners do not want more races and track owners and prospective track builder want more dates. The TV ratings are like a roller coaster and if you aren't getting the ratings, the stations will drop the contracts at review points. The race to the cup has to be fixed in only it's third year because of pressure from about everyone. The cars are not even close to "stock" appearing and next year you are letting in a manufacturer that will stop at nothing in order to dominate the cup, Busch and truck series as they have every other series they chose to. Toyota will be a major black eye on NASCAR. Even the mighty Mouth Mikey can't shout over the MWR haters on his "Trading Paint" OR was it "Listen to me" show? Nationa l Associationfor Stock Car Automobile Racingmy ass.

| CD, you said it pretty good.
As for Toyota I think that this is an American sport and the Japs simple don't belong in it.
I know that many don't feel this way but gee are we not getting over run and dominated enough by them. Don't we have one unique avenue left in this country that we can simply call, ours or American. Yes, the Toyota is probably build her in this country but hey, they are owned by a Jap company.
Yea, I know lay it on but sorry, I just feel we need to keep something sacred. |

| I like to watch the beginning then go do something else and come back when there is about 20 minutes left. Like most sports the best part is the ending.
I keep on hearing rumors of a track being built in Washington? |

| I'm not a Toyota fan (have never owned one), but why should they be barred from NASCAR? Sure..NASCAR is an American sport, but America was built on free enterprise. Is it because of the good ole boy spirit, or dare I say..redneck mentality? If ya got the goods to compete, then you have a shot in America at success. If we start restricting who can do what, then we're not a free country..that's truly not the American way. Is somebody gonna start telling me I can't ride a Yamaha because that's what I prefer? |

| Whoa there SK, didn't mean to ruffle your feathers like that, figured I would get nailed. Hey, everyone is entitled to their opinion and that was mine. If you read my recent post under First long ride you would have noticed that I just bought a Honda so be cool.
I just think NASCAR should be about American cars and American heritage without the Japs coming in and taking over. Let them have there own races, why don't they start a JapCar race with Honda, Toyotas and all the rest of their vehicles. |
