| In accordance with Public Law 107-89, September 11 was designated Patriot Day. All Americans are encouraged to display the flag at half-staff from their homes on that day and to observe a moment of silence beginning at 8:46 a.m. eastern daylight time, or another appropriate commemorative time, to honor the innocent victims who lost their lives as a result of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001
If your flag can't fly at Half-Mast:
For flags that can't be lowered, such as those on many homes, the American Legion says that attaching a black ribbon or streamer to the top of the flag is an acceptable alternative. The ribbon should be the same width as a stripe on the flag and the same length as the flag.
In addition to honoring those that lost their lives that tragic day, please remember our military members that lost their lives fighting for our freedom and those that continue to fight.
Sept. 11, 2001 - 2,973 people died and another 24 remain missing as a result of these attacks.
War on Terrorism - To date 2669 KIA and 19910 wounded. |

| Had a cousin in the 2nd tower. I totally support this war against terrorism... Hell if we do nothing, there will be more 9/11's. That is a hard pill to swallow... |

| That is why we have flown the flag on our site since 9/11 and always will. Our new store / site will have both the USA flag for 9/11 and POW flags. We cannnot and must not stop fighting terrorism! Regardless of the liberal media attempt to undermine this war and those that once voted for war and now want to undermine our soldiers we must finish the job. Some are even saying it would be better if Saddam was back.

| Hard to believe it's been 5 years already. The first tower was already hit when I turned the tv on in Rocklin, California. The second after I arrived at work..not knowing the full extent of what was going on. Our lives are changed forever and the war on terrorism is going to be going on for a long time. Let's try to keep it somewhere else besides our turf. Long live the memory of all the lives lost 5 years ago and to all the soldiers before and after 9/11. Quote:

| Thanks DW for the info. I didn't know that about the black streamer. Quote:

That is a hard pill to swallow... | I'm truly sorry for your loss. You make a great point. I was stationed in Vegas on 9/11. After we invaded Iraq I was in the Post Office ON BASE, the postal clerk made a stupid remark about the war and our boys dying over there. I was disgusted and said, "Would you rather have more civilians and children dying here?"
Some people have such short memories and stunted views of what it costs to be a free country. It's anything but free.

| Sometimes I think it's like that Dumbocrat vs. Rebulican vs. Redneck joke.
You know, the one where the hold up guy is pointing a gun at someone and if he's a Dumbocrat he goes through a five minute internal discussion of what to do and the Republican shoots him and the Redneck empties the mag and daughter says "nice group Dad".
I don't think the majority of Liberals have the slightest idea of what freedom costs. |
