| I really enjoyed Rock Star Super Nova....Until yesterday when a poster placed this link on V-Twin. http://www.contactmusic.com/news.nsf...leaked_1006590
After I read it, I hoped it was B.S. and just another reporter trying to get a scoop. Then, I came across anither kink. http://janetcharltonshollywood.com/g...p_20060827.php
Now, WTF? Why have a Gawd Dam show if you rigged the f$%^king results and it leaks!
I was considering getting tickets for the Phoenix show but...screw that.
What a joke.
Heh, seems even the name was a fake...Not even original http://www.mercurynews.com/mld/mercu...s/15511900.htm

Tommy and the boys new who they were going to pick anyway. I just cant believe they went with skunk-boy, he is a mush mouth and I cant even understand what is singing half of the time. It is just like any reality show now days, with created drama etc…. |

| I don't know how people watch that stuff, I can't get into it, figure it's pretty much rigged from the begining as they go through the selection process, they have the top 4 or 5 already selected. The rest is just showtime.
Survivor, Supernova, all that crap, the only reality show is OCC! |

The problem is, as information about pre-selecting the finalists or winners or stacking the odds becomes public knowledge i.e The infamous Idol fix Where Ruben supposedly won and votes were "accidentally" altered. A lot more people will A) Stop viewing shows with questionable outcomes and B) Some show like "Date Line" or the like will jump on the story for scandal report.....Talk about Nielsen ratings for that episode!
The year that Boston Boy Rob and cutey pie won and got married was a rig job all the way IMHO. You gotta wonder what it took to wrangle that outcome...
Too bad Bonanza is gone. |

After that I couldn't make out what the lyrics were.
I'm with Dave; any chance of me buying an album of their just went out the window. |

| Yanno,
The more I hear the new "music" out there, the more I appreciate the old school tunes. Creedence, Lynnard, Cream, etc...those guys had it goin' on.
I was probably born about 20 years too late, but I can still like it, and can definitely NOT like this "stuff" they play at nowadays.

scoot | I've been on a FLoyd kick for a while now. Picked up remastered CD's of the Wall, Dark Side of the Moon, Wish you were here and Momentary Lapse of Reason.
Took a trip up North last week and jammed to 'em all the way up and back. Going to add a Meat Loaf and a GNR CD to the stack.... Brain melt anyone? |

| Just picked up the Very Best of The Eagles two cd pack and I always keep a Lynyrd Skynyrd close by. If I really want to blow the mind of someone in the truck I slip in KISS. |

| I enjoy listening to Floyd every once in a while, but my band/music of choice is the Grateful Dead/psychidelic. Followed them since '76 (first show 10/20/76-Syracuse, NY). Although my first tour (EastCoast) was in '85. Peace. |

My first Dead concert was free in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. My older brother took me down from Sacramento about 1970. Opening act was the Jefferson Airplane (not Starship). Geez..there was so much free acid flowing through the crowd. Glad my older bro kept me from it as I was only 13 at the time. |

| I'm just starting to realize just how good the Dead was but I gotta tell ya Grace Slick was "it" as far as I was concerned..good looker, great pipes. The Jefferson Airplane was one of my faves..Grace's "icy" vocals layered over top of a group of very talented musicians.." one pil makes you......." |
