I apologize for this remark, it wasn't true. The 9/11 attacks killed ~2,983 people.

Must have been thinking of the early estimates, some as high as 4000.

Thanks,

Joe

As they always say, "Close enough for government work". It doesn't distract from the truth of the rest of your post. The liberals are showing their true colors now and our troops and the war on terror have never been in more danger of failing. If they have their way, we'll roll over and give it up. I hope no one believes that will be the end of it.
God bless America.....We need it now more than ever.

I agree Slim, these people who complain about the number dead & how long the war has been fought have no concept of what is before us. Tomorrow is the 62nd anniversary of Iwo Jima, a 36 day battle that took over 4000 American lives for a 8 square mile piece of volcanic rock. People today neither have the heart to fight the good fight nor the will to endure it. My father was drafted at the age of 18 for Korea, & I never heard him bitch a day about it. Matter of fact he was proud of the fact! I volunteered fo the Marines when I was 17 & Im so pissed that I'm too damn old to help out in this fight. Thats why I'm in the American Legion, we help support the troops (real support not the lip service you get from dems) and take care of the families here. I respect these guys in the patriot guard & Legion riders who protect the families of our fallen from these bastards who have no real concept of service to one's country & people. Its another reason I like bikers...to the average John Q we look like a bunch of tattoed, hairy, potty mouthed degenerates, but I know that alot of you guys know the real meaning of brotherhood. Guys who have been there & done that, & aint gonna change your opinion based on the poll of the day....

Sorry I got off on a rant, but nothing frosts me more than people who say they support the troops (where were these so called people when I was in ??) but don't support their mission. I heard an analogy the other day that I think fits....Its like saying I support law enforcement but I dont believe they should be arresting Illegals (or whatever enforcement you choose ie war on drugs, DUI) It doens make sense, but these people are so hypocritical that they cant see it for what it is....Lip service
