| There never seems to be a replay at certain points in an NFL broadcast?
I'll qualify the following statement with: Yes, it was a Chicago touchdown..but, why didn't Payton get the replays he so obviously wanted? Then, during the next Saint's drive when Breese had a forced fumble and, it was ruled a sack and not a fumble, there were at least five replays of the play? Yep. sure enough, it was a fumble but, why at least five replays and yet not one replay of the Bears touchdown until after the PAT was made? |

| CD, because the Bears were supposed to win. If you watched the penalties that were called, and the obvious ones that were not, you would certainly get the idea that they were supposed to win. What a load of crap!! |

Payton was asking, pleading and never got to view the replay until after the PAT. Now, they do replays on about anything from a sack to a punt. Many of these are about as interesting as that Wendy's commercial playing right now. But, a player makes an outstanding catch, never gets touched, gets up and walks into the end zone and no instant replay? WTFO? I don't believe the NFL "fixes" games anymore than NASCAR was paid big bucks to let Toyota into the cup series.. You do scratch your head over it sometimes.... |

| Ah Jeez, not the Toyota thing again...
Have you seen those hour long commercials for Toyota presented by Darrell Waltrip? Its some show of his new team building the car of tomorrow. I could only watch a few minutes of it, kinda dorky.
I’m not "insinuating" anything though. |

| On another note though if ya think pro sports are not fixed even sometimes.... think about it..."grown men" fire up cigs in the bathroom at work even though it is non-smoking ..whenever Managment "pops" in no one sees anything..and that is done for free....now add alot of money..look at pro wretsling..it has only been within the last few years they have done behind the scenes and show how they go about determining who wins..... I have Nascar since the first time it came on TV when a game was cancelled and nothing else was available so pow..it is on...I think ya never know whenever money is involvoed so is corruption. I do remeber a baseball game that was fixed a long time ago....Hmmmmmm.. Do ya' think it just ended then ? |

| I'd have a hard time thinking any of the major sports games are fixed..at least coming down from the league office. While it seems like it sometimes, especially in the NBA when the playoffs come around they play 7 game series. I think it'd get out if the league tried to fix a game, but the refs? I could almost see a couple of refs saying.."if this series goes 7 games..we get paid to ref more games". Though I not sure about that either as the refs might and should be paid by the series..not the number of games in a series.
Then there's the gambling aspect of it, and the NFL (the league office that is) is against gambling more than any sport out there. Hell..they had the NBC series "Las Vegas" moved from Monday night to Friday night because they didn't want NBC advertising the show during Sunday Night Football as a lead in for the next night. That was pretty petty if you ask me. |
