well it was october, when i put my truck in the shop.
i got it back yesterday, and it kinda runs ok, as long as you dont kick in passing gear. i am being told that there is more motor than what my fuel injection system can handle, and the kicker is , there is'nt any kind of fuel injector upgrade, nor a fuel pressure regulator to bump up.
gonna put some more miles on it, then take it to san antonia, the is a company there called "nelson tune", and try a custom pcm, made just for my motor!
till then, i am just idleing around....counting the miles.......

That sucks TRG, but, on the bright side....you got your truck back at least! I've never heard of the fuel injection not being able to put enough fuel into the system, but maybe it's true!? Good luck puttin around like an old lady!!

ya voodoo......
the model i have the injectors are actually under the intake manifold!!!!
and only come in one size. i was like no prob,i'll just buy a ajustable fuel pressure regulator. wrong again! they dont make one for my model.
go ahead, rub it in on the puttin around, (cause it is "driving" me crazy so to speak) but the weather is awsome here, (hows the weather up there smirkin) so i think i will just take a ride on the scoot!!!! lol
all kiddin asside, thinking about going the full 10 yards, and switchin over to a LS-1 injection system ,(like on the late model corvette) only another 2 grand, and hell i got 5 grand in it, might as well go all the way.........

wished we had some chevy guru's on here....

Chuck, the only thing I can take a picture of is a fender that's almost primed. I set the seat and realized the nut that they welded in was in the wrong spot. I was doing my final mock up when I realized it. I dropped it off last night and will get it back today. I should have the fender bodywork done this weekend and maybe even painted. Sorry for not sending any pics. Supposed to get 6" of white crap today anyway....Come on spring! enough of this stuff!

Ya know thats the first I've heard of injectors that can't be upgraded\ oversized. But then I don't play with many chevys any more. The bomber\claimer class at the track we race at has banned small block chevys due to all the cheats you can build into them with stock parts. Little do they know I can do the same thing with small block Mopars.

I spent all day yesterday laying on the concrete pulling the engien out of our rock crawler (86 Samarai). I told my buddy once I got down there I was staying he did the top and I did the bottom, used my daughter as my tool gopher. Worked out preety good even if I was gimped.

I don't know why we even messed with the hoist once I got the tranny looose I could have lifted it out by hand. I think my Sportster has more HP.

Man I feel for you guys back east. Were already hitting 90 here. Spring has passed us by as usual.
