| This whole country is going to hell! God forbid we discipline our kids or speak English, or even mention the word God. Did everyone forget how this country was founded?! Now, I don't like Imus, never have, and don't listen to him, but what he said, if you read the whole exchange, was not meant to be racist or mean. He thought he was being cool or funny. Well, he wasn't, and now we got Sharpton, the self proclaimed ruler and mouthpiece for the blacks, and by the way, promoter of violence, bitchin and screaming for Imus's firing. Well, he got what he wanted. The guy got fired. Is that enough for Sharpie?? Maybe he should be drawn and quartered as well? Would that be enough?? Christ, I am SO sick of this already. Now I hear that one of the women is "scarred for life". Oh Jesus Chr**t, give me a break! Is she for real? I better stop now before I am banned for life from this forum, I like it here. Sorry for the venting......been a rough week. |

His Hymie town remark was pushed off to the side because it was "in private". You think anyone else saying stuff like that "in private" would get a break ?? |

| This whole subject is the most double standardized thing I have ever seen or heard. There was a black comic on a local radio station the other day that said he basically blames his own people for all of this. He said something to the effect of them teaching the "white folk" all of the terms, and if they use them to describe themselves, then why should they blame us when we use them. I agree with Ironhorse and Flyndutchman, let's not persecute 1 person. It should be all or nothing.
And BTW, Ken, you can send Ole Al to my house anyday......He might look good with a 125lb rottie on his leg!! I'd like to see his fat ass runnin away from my boy! (I got no patience or time of day for someone like him.) |

| Man..ain't that the truth. If a black comic had said the same thing, it would hardly get any mention, let alone all the national news. Of course, Sharpton is now going after the rap moguls..like..shouldn't he have been all along? Snoop Dog said what they do ain't no thing because the ho's are a different type than the Rutgers girls..they ain't done nothing but go after their money, so it's just part of their culture. Whatever.
I think the only difference between Imus and Howard Stern is Stern is a shock jock (I guess Imus was the original back when), but Imus interviews a lot of high-browed policital a-holes and they are more..how would you say..upstanding individuals?
Any way..look for Imus to be on satelite radio within the year with a multi-million dollar contract. |

| The biggest problem is that they (minoritys) are on a roll and getting everything they demand. Society is buckling under a double standard that only a liberal mind can fathom. There are no straight paths for a child to follow any longer with these 'in the news' events that defy logic or right and wrong. We're in trouble and being torn to shreds...
So the slime ball at VTech had a vengeance for the rich? His parents have another child at Princeton so must be pretty well off to afford those tuitions - or do they afford them? Dollars to donuts, these foreigners found the money pit and didn't spend a dime for either tuition. This country is famous for pushing a minority up while stepping in the faces of the US citizen.
Bill C.
I wish I could consider this a rant, it's not, it's the truth. |

They run (don't know if they own) a laundry/dry cleaning business. Maybe the other son and daughter who both went to Princeton went on scholarships. Hard to assume anything at the moment. I can only imagine what the Cho family is going through, along with the families of all the victims. |

| Yeah, I don't think mental illness at that level knows race, ethnicity, nor wealth. In fact I doubt that kid's rant about the rich or anything else he said came from anything based on sanity at all. Its horrible that he couldn't be treated/stopped earlier before all those innocent students got caught in his path. Those who saw signs before (i.e. teachers) should be ashamed to even say "I knew he was a threat" yet did nothing to intervene.
This is getting a bit off topic now, it started as just a way to poke fun at the stupidity that surrounds us. |

1. Imus gets suspended for 2 weeks.
2. The next day or so all the advertisers for the Imus show decide to cancel their contracts.
3. The next day Imus gets fired.
4. The next day the President of CBS says they felt a moral obligation to fire Imus.
I wonder ... if the the advertisers didn't cancel their contracts and pull out of the Imus show... if Imus would still be on the air.
Moral obligation my A$$. |
