| Finally some justice for celebrities who think they are above the law, especially when it comes to drunk driving. That ridiculous camera-whore Paris Hilton is going to serve some jail time in the county hole. I love it when crap like this happens to the "do you know who I am" crowd. |

| yeah, but let's see if it really happens. If it did I would be tickled pink but you know she'll get out of it. I was reading the article and it said how her mom was upset by the fact that this whole thing was a "waste of taxpayer money", then it said their lawyer would appeal. What a bunch of rich ass holes that think they're above the law. It is so typical how they think they can do whatever they want because of their money....F*CK them! It would be great to see that whore go to jail. Maybe someone ought to tell her parents that they did a horrible job of raising her. What a piece of sh*t family. Sorry, I got off on a little rant but I can't help it. I guess I'm a stereotypical sociopath. (Just so you know I got that from a radio show.)
It started when our illustrious governor Corzine (whorezine as we call him) got hurt in a car accident because he wasn't wearing his state mandated seat belt. Well, when people emailed the office and said good for him, this "expert" psychologist came on and did an interview and called us all "sociopaths", and that we had "typical sociopathic behavior", because we said good for you. Getting hurt because you didn't wear it is your fault and he thinks he's above the law as well. F*CK him too.......
Ok sorry again, I'll go now.......

| I howled last night when I saw that on the news... Paris Hilton serving 45 days in lockup. AWESOME! Its about time... give that judge a medal!
Why can't we have some real friggin justice in Canada? Here, we would rather give people a hug, or a hundred and one chances to "reform".
I think that this is a fantastic use of tax payers money... maybe some of these sports and film celebrities will start to realize that they are no better than the rest of us... and if they do the crime, then they do the time. LOVE IT! |

| I agree, she deserves to spend the 45 days and then some but I'll bet right now she'll never do it. They will postpone the sentence and she'll have "community service" and whatever. If she spends more than a week, I'll be surprised.

| I too think that that Paris needs a touch of the real world.....but frankly, since her lawyer has stated that he will appeal..I think she'll get off |

| I'm betting she'll do the time, at least the portion that anyone else would (time off for good behavior is common in these sentences). Appeals take time, and since her revocation requires immediate incarceration, she's toast. She will get some special treatment, though, as her wealth and fame (infamy?) does make her a target for too many of the bulls in common lock-up. |

| rich or poor it troubles me to see how this government of ours seems so motivated towards locking people up who offer no real threat to society thus depriving us as humans the very thing we ride for. must be a better way. wish i had the answer for this sad state of human behavior |

| Skull,
I hope you're not saying Paris Hilton is not a threat to society with her drunk driving. She will kill you as fast as any illegal alien. The only difference is that she probably has insurance. Her biggest problem is that she thinks she is entitled to do what she wants, when she wants to. She should spend the time. |

| no, certainly people should not drive while impaired, but i'm not thinking this really the case with paris or others in this type of situation. when paris or others in this type of situation are arrested for the dangerous (sometimes murderous) crime of DUI our legal system rarely imprisons them for there 1st arrest. they are placed on probation of if they violated by driving under suspendion soberthey go to jail. hard to figure. I really think there are other ways to punish people other than caging them like animals. although i'm not against this harsh type of punishment for violent criminals. At present they is an excellent example of this on msn about how a judge handles shoplifters. |

| Skull, she didn't get sent to the slammer for the DUI, it was the subsequent violation. So I say "Lock her up!", like they would you or me or anyone else in the same situation. Only we'd get no pity.
Now if you were talking about Martha Stewart or Scooter Libby, it might be different. Some twisted interpretation of law in those cases.... |

| I may have to eat my words on Hilton not going to jail. They say she is going but I'm going to have to see it to believe it. It'll probably be one of the country club type jails where she can keep her cell phone. |

| Well her lawyers officially filed for the appeal. I MIGHT be inclinced to agree to give her a break if it wasn't the third time she's been caught violating her probation. And for this quote from the Associated Press. In an interview for the June issue of Harper's Bazaar, Hilton says: "I get in more trouble just because of who I am. The cops do it all the time. They'll just pull me over to hit on me.''
"It's really annoying. They're like, `What's your phone number? Want to go to dinner?' They won't even give me a ticket. They just pull me over, and the paparazzi, of course, take a picture. All the time. I have so many cops' business cards.''
Now lets analyze this just a little. If she KNOWS they recognize her, AND they pull her over JUST because of who she is, then WHY THE EFF was she driving around with no license..................AGAIN? Stupid effing bitch. Sorry, she just annoys the EFF out of me. Maybe it comes from my daughter making me watch an episode of the Simple Life with her. I told her I couldn't watch it again because it makes my blood presure go up too much.
I'm sure that she will get SOMETHING out of the appeal. She will probable get to go to jail in a different place rather than county jail or maybe even get house arrest provisions with one of those ankle things. Even if she goes to the county jail, they will likely isolate her anyway since she would be such an easy target as already mentioned. |

| I thought I heard it all. You gotta go to the My Space web page and see the letter her Page Ranking guy is sending to the govenrner of California, (Arnie). Make sure you don't have a full stomach when you read it.
He wants Arnie to pardon her claiming that other celebraties have done similar things and didn,t have to go to jail. But the biggest reason he says she should'nt have to go to jail is becuase, Paris is a socialite, and she brings beauty and excitement to our otherwise mundane lives.
GIVE ME A F@#$ING BREAK. |

| Honestly, I don't find anything beautiful about her. She's a rich b@%!h, that has no clue about life in the real world. She lives on her looks (which aren't that great in my book), her mommy and daddy bucks, and is nothing but a spoiled f$%^*$g brat. |

| I wish she would shut up and just do the time. 45 days is nothing. Meanwhile we got kids dying overseas. |
