if you have been reading the hanoi jane thread, you may have read about this gentleman.....i thought i would post this in its own thread, as i didnt believe that it would be apropiate to mr. basilone to include him in the same thread as hanoi's.....enjoy!!!

Chuck, did you know he was my 3rd cousin?? I'm not sure if I mentioned that before in a different thread. They also have a statue of him in Raritan, NJ and an annual parade in his honor. Pretty cool, huh?!

I agree God bless 'em... Talked with a few Army soldiers yesterday. They're headed for Afghanistan in 1 week. I thanked them for there unselfish protection that they afford us so we can live our lives. They were just greatful to be able to do that for us. I am so proud of our soldiers!!!
