| About two week's ago I was out riding when I started to here a new rattle sound , found a beer joint & stop to take a look , the rear heat shield was loose close to the head area , so I let her cool off so i could realy touch it the two clamp hold downs close to the rear jug where broken , so I sent V&H a email to ask what kinda of warrenty they had , as these pipes are about 6 month's old , told them that I bought them through Direct part's & there out of busness , I HAVE YET TO HERE BACK FROM THEM so to keep riding i bought a chrome hose clamp & just went over the top of the shield , One would think that a out fit like V&H would try to cover there product |

| Don't be surprised if you don't hear from them.....I have read on other forums where they (V&H) wouldn't respond to consumers and wouldn't stand behind their product! Scums! I wouldn't buy anything V&H just because of the things I have read about them regarding their customer service and warranty issues. I refuse to take the chance with my money. JMO! |

Don't let them blow you off. Keep emailing them... bug them until they at least contact you back.
Keep us informed... |

| OK, I am most likely a bit prejudiced in V-H's favor since I just bought their product and love its performance....but anyway.
Before ya'll dog 'em too bad, lets get some feedback. E-mail is not the best way to communicate with any sense of urgency. Call 'em up and tell 'em your problem - and tell 'em all the bikers on this forum are awaiting an answer, as well.
Cowboy - here is there phone number: Vance & Hines (USA) (562) 921-7461
Good luck! |

| Hey, at least they responded to you and it sounds favorable so far. Now, the question is, will they do anything about it, or will they wash their hands and walk away.... I guess you're out of warranty, so whatever they do, if anything, will be a "gift". Good luck! |

| Hey voodoochild, just goes to show that those other forums' trash talk was just that. I was afraid that might be the case, as there are so many jackasses out there that like to go negative without working through a problem. V-H may not have the best customer service - I don't know, as I haven't needed any on their great product - but them having bad to none made no sense.
Good luck, cowboy. Don't worry about the crow, I always use the claws to get the feathers out from between my teeth....handy that way! |

| Thank's to Red rider for the PH # I have talked to A rep from V&H quite a bit about the heat shield , his dime & mine , yes there out of warrenty , A new one is about $130, BUT he told me they have what they call a 1200 room , & have a few of the heat shield's in there At about $65. So I have to call him back next week to see if there still there & if so I'll order it , other's thing's around here had to come first , ( I put A chome hose clamp at the end next to the rear jug to hold it tight )
Scott at V&H also told me there all about a week or so behind on answering there E mail's because there are so many , so call it a lot faster & easy'er to get ahold of a real person who act's like they care |

| Got my new V&H true duals though Ebay. Came in a factory sealed box. Went to put them on and discovered I had two left hand muffler heats shields. Called V&H and talked to Adam. He said no problem, they would send the corrrect one out at their cost. Also told me to keep the extra left hand heat shield for a spare. |
