| Yes, the 96ci /6spd models have knocked the stuffing out of used Harley prices. Which is a good thing if you want a used H-D...but not so good for trade-ins. I've seen a minimum drop of $3K per model only days after the 96ci /6spd models were announced. |

I also wanted to voice my angst over Harley prices. Maybe it's me being cheap, I don't know but $164 for a shift linkage? I am looking for a radio, that was $1000. I am looking for alternatives and found some. But i wanted to keep my bike all Harley, well so much for that. I'll go poor trying to.
I found a radio kit that includes everything and works with the handlbar controls for $430. Why do we need to pay so much? I paid $18,000 for the bike, hell I'll pay another $18,000 for the fun stuff. I for one am going to look elsewhere for my parts. I'll only buy Harley parts from the factory if I have to.
Is it me? Or do other people feel the same way? Thanks for listening to me, Ride safe and don't be stupid.
Gumby40 | Forget the HD radio buy your self a MP3 player and a small 100 watt amp and a set of good 100 watt speaker .I got about $250 bucks in mine and it sounds great you can down load songs of the PC and the MP3 player has a built in radio. |

Harley is all about the yuppie rider that spends another $5000 bucks on bolt on junk.I never owned anything but Harley in the past 33 years grant it they have made alot of inprovments over the years but now its just gone over board. The 2008 are just the sart of it. My buddy has a 2006 and it runs hot in the high temps here in florida Harleys fix is a bolt on fan to keep it cool Whats wrong with that picture . |

| You want to try living in South Africa, where imports are exorbitant due to our worthless currency, makes any bike expensive, especially Harley's. I wont even start abut availability of bikes and spares. But still, I LOVE my Sportster......... |
